Tyreek Hill's son removed from home

I don’t you know the full details, sounds to me you probably got a biased viewpoint from a ‘co-worker’. He probably was stressed due to the realization of his mistakes. It’s the parents responsibility to look after the care of their child. Not their ‘sister-in-law’. If the parents have that poor of judgment to allow a child to be watched by inadequate individuals, it’s on them. DSS looks at the situation not narrowing down blame. Obviously adults were making bad decisions in regard to the care of their child. Had DSS not stepped in a the child was hurt again by poor judgment everyone would blame DSS.

It is about the child, not the parents and when it comes to children I’d rather them be more strict, more cautious then not.

Not going into full details as it was his business but some key factors here:

-Him and his wife were out of the country on their honeymoon they had never gotten
-Their child was originally being watched by the wife's mother
-The incident occurred in the grandmother's home while she was away, she had asked her other daughter (the child's aunt) to take care of her
-The aunt never informed the grandmother of the incident
-When my co-worker and his wife returned, there was noticeable swelling and they immediately took her to the hospital
-It was after DSS became involved that the aunt confessed to what happened

The only reason DSS was involved was, again, due to the nature of the injury (injuries to certain parts of the body are required to be reported). The child did not need to be removed from the home nor their parents. They were out of the country when it took place, they were unaware that the sister had been involved, and nobody told them anything until they returned and they came to pick up their child.

He should never play another down of football, it should be a privilege to play and get paid that much to do it. Being an idiot or pos should an automatic disqual

I completely understand and support a guy like Greg Hardy never being allowed to play in the NFL again, but it is truly baffling to me how Adrian Peterson gets another chance or Tyreek Hill isn't kicked out.

Domestic violence deserves expulsion, but so does child abuse in my book... I'm not blaming a woman for being abused, but a child has zero to do with the situation they are put in...

Once again, NFL justice is very heavily tilted towards video evidence and affidavits, which a child cannot produce...

Hunt didn’t get kicked off of the chiefs for foot-nudging the girl; he got kicked off because he lied about it.

Clearly there is a difference between what he and Hill did. Hill’s history of domestic violence had been well documented and largely overlooked and ignored because he is fast and fun to watch. That is the sad truth.

There is nothing wrong with having a family member baby sit your kids. Kids can get hurt in an accident even when they are being properly cared for. Just because a child gets hurt doesn't mean that you or someone else did something wrong. If it's the responsibility of the parents only to look after their child, then no child should ever be in day care or go to school, or play sports or do anything that isn't under direct supervision by the parents. They might be watched by inadequate individuals.

DSS is not perfect and a child can get hurt in an accident. Happened in my family as well. My 4 year old niece was running around outside the house playing with the dog and tried to use the railing to the stairs as a handle to turn fast. She missed the end railing and her arm with between the pickets and it snapped. Hospital called DSS to report suspected abuse and it took months for them to get the situation cleared up. Fortunately, she wasn't taken away, but they spent about 6 months jumping through hoops and going through an investigation to get it all resolved. What started it all was she was in the hospital telling the nurse when she was crying that her mom told her not to run around like that or she'd be sorry.

There are two groups of people I know of that have a major thing for "bad boys". Number one, teenage girls. Number two, certain Panther fans.

We've got some folks on here who regularly lobby for us to go after guys that get released from their previous teams for character issues, even major ones. But stuff like this is why you avoid those kinds of risks.

My sentiments exactly.

Yeah, overall it's a sticky situation. I think they do a lot more good than harm, but having a three year old myself I fully understand that a kid can innocently say something that ends up getting interpreted as something entirely different than what was intended.

I remember when I broke my arm as a kid while jumping on the trampoline my parents giving me a good lecture in the car heading to the ER to be very careful about what I said once we get there because they would be asking me questions to make sure that it wasn't an abuse situation. Sucks, but that's the world we live in.
