Not so sure. ANY critique of cam on this site begins with ‘I love cam but...not a hater but...’ for fear of being labeled who knows what. People can’t seem to legitimately dislike cam without an agenda, it’s impossible in some minds.

"On this site..." is a little bit different considering you're talking to virtually 100% Panthers fans outside of the occasional competitor fan.

I agree that there are some posters here who can't seem to accept that there are any legit criticisms or room for improvement for Cam, but there's probably an equal number of posters who thinks Cam can do nothing right and would still think that way if he won the MVP again this year and we won the Super Bowl. It is what it is.

So many ways to look at Cam's play, his past and his potential. All of them will start some kind of fight.

I hope he's healed. I hope he's ready. I hope he can win out this season.

And you can't throw an NFL MVP award away like it doesn't count unless you win multiples. Not many have won it, much less more than once.

Unless you can look at Cam's entire game, rather than just his passing (and his 3-2 TD to INT ratio is better than they want you to think), then you can't really evaluate his impact completely.

Let's just let 2019 speak for him, whatever it says.

For d will’s standards that wasn’t that bad of salt tbh

i mean this coming from a guy who calls out the panthers org on social media the day after Cat Man dies. Using someone’s death for your own personal vendetta shows the type of person he is. His mother would be ashamed.

DeAngelo so badly wants to be a master troll but he's no where good enough.

Saying the offense hasn't changed, coordinators don't matter, supporting cast doesn't matter, and boiling everything down to completion % & wins is the ESPN way of being an idiot, so kudos for that.  All the while forgetting Cam's %'s were up a ton last year, and the team was 6-2 while battling the injuries and some of the most inept defense the team has ever seen.

That’s all it is.

Deangelo just wants to troll, and wants to be hated. I don’t even know what he said, and probably won’t know because I’m not going to watch the video.

Homers will Homer.

Cam is our QB and we hope he "balls" as SAS said.

But, you can't deny some of the stats, no matter who brought them up.  Outside of Carolina, how many fans would want to trade their QB for Cam straight up?  Tampa, yes.  But they would say that to about 30 other teams.

Here's hoping that Cam has the season and shoulder, that we are all hoping for.  But you cannot with a straight face deny that Cam has had his ups and downs.

Drew has never won MVP. He’s been super bowl MVP but never league MVP.

Its honestly kind of shocking given the video game stats he’s put up over the years. Also a testament to how awful that saints defense was for so many years.

Thought he finally got it a year or two ago?  Maybe it was just how hard the media was using for it I assumed he got it. In that case, “Cam’s been in the league for 9 years and only has ONE mvp, while Brees (HoF lock) has never been mvp”

Who would trade for him? Everyone outside of NE, NO, KC and GB

    • These are the three deep throw attempts that Will Levis made in week 12. His first one is a beauty; Levis and Westbrook-Ikhine gets the safety to bite on a deep dig only to go over the top for the score. His second throw is another beauty: a crosser to Calvin Ridley reminiscent of Bryce to XL (though Ridley has noticeably more separation on his route). His third and final deep shot was an incompletion from his own endzone on 3rd & 14 with pressure coming down on him (to me, this seems like a solid throw).   Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-02.mp4 Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-01.mp4 Film Room Playlist NFL Pro.mp4 Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-01.mp4 Levis took half of the deep shots that Young did. The differences are: Ridley had much better separation than XL, which is why his deep crosser turned into a 63yd play since he was able to scamper for another 15+ after the catch. Westbrook-Ikhine holds on to his TD pass. Bryce had to throw one away to preserve time for a field goal. Bryce had two more throws that were incomplete due to the WR Are we really holding the three WR errors and clock management decision against Bryce in order to say that Will was better throwing deep in week 12? That's not passing the eye test nor is it confirmed by the data.
    • If you go on the PUP list before the season starts, you are gone for the year. If you start the year on the PUP list then you can get off of it. Kind of semantics, but we are putting him on the PUP list now which is before week 1, that’s why people who come off of it aren’t really on the PUP list until week 1, hence you usually hear right before the season that they are “starting the year” on the PUP list. I think PUP list and IR may basically be the serve the same purpose now because you also sometimes hear that if a player is added to the IR before week 1 that they aren’t eligible to come off the IR list for the entire year. Now, everyone added to IR (post week 1) can come off after 4 (or more) games so the PUP list is meaningless since it’s 6 games and starts at week 1. Anyone added to PUP or IR in the preseason is gone for the year.
    • I saw Brooks maybe a few weeks ago, he was walking pretty normally. of course he wasnt running, jumping and cutting.
