2019 simulated... Panthers finish last in NFCS

If the Panthers start out 1-6, I'd expect that:

  • Cam is out for the year
  • CMC is out for the year
  • Kuechly is in concussion protocol
  • At least 3 injuries to the secondary

That's the only way I can see a scenario in which the Panthers give up a butt-load of points, but don't score many themselves. Gimme a break.

if cam's shoulder goes i wouldn't be surprised to see carolina lose out.

Reluctantly agree. Don't have a whole lot of faith in the backups. Would be ugly for sure.

If he's healthy, we're easily a 10+ win team. Shoulder goes out, we don't win.

One thing worth remembering if the season does go in the tank...

Jerry Richardson generally didn't believe in midseason firings. Well, except in one case. He was prepared to fire Ron Rivera after a bad start, but Marty Hurney offered to fall on the sword instead.

We don't really know how David Tepper feels about the idea.

Based on where he came from, you'd expect it to not be an option. Heck, the Steelers hardly ever fire people at any time of the year oh, much less midseason.

But when you get right down to it, we don't really know.

    • He would also be completely missing elite WR's here. Yes it is possible TMac could eventually be one but Burrow has never(even in college) played with a WR Corps as bad as ours would be. It might take some luster off of his otherwordly performances, TBQH.  Not to mention the draft capital losses and cap room taken would likely cripple our defense to being as bad as it currently is for several years. So, essentially he would be trading a good offensive line for good offensive weapons while still being hamstrung with a bad defense.  I'm down to see elite QB play again but I wouldn't expect a ton of success for the first few seasons, anyway. I would have a lot less issue being patient with that kind of weapon, though. Not sure he would have the same patience with our franchise.
    • Yeah, I can see not playing him over Ewers as a freshman. I get that. Hell, I could even see the case fkr maybe playing Ewers over him as a sophomore if you had serious offensive roster issues where you knew you'd basically be setting him uo for failure. But that's not the case at Texas. You're loaded with 4* and 5* talent.
    • I don’t know what these dumb 4chan sayings mean Rozeboom sucks. A linebacker on the wrong side of thirty with multiple fake ligaments is not a solution. if you’re stomping your feet because he’d be a marginal improvement then sure whatever point conceded.
