Coaching staff doesn't even trust cam in the red zone

You're wrong. I notice with both SHula(especially) and Turner, once they cross the 50 the trust gos waaaay down. Its like"we're somewhat close to FG range, lets get ultra conservative!!!"......

ugh I bet its Ron, in fact I know its Ron.....

Yeah that is cute to say but the reality is that we are at a crossroads.

Not being cute. I've seen many an NFL season turn around after a loss or a bad game in Week 1.

Now with that said, are there valid reasons to be concerned? Sure, and yes some of them are long-standing.

But I would still temper it all by saying that it is just Week 1 and we don't really know how good (or bad) the team really is for at least a few more weeks.

For what it's worth...

The Falcons had a far worse debut than we did.

Tampa is losing, and has to fly back from a late west coast game to play us thursday night.

Saints have a tough monday night game against the Texans, then go to LA.

Well said. If we can come out 1-1 by Thursday and the Aints loose to La to go to 1-1 I will be thrilled.

I am starting to hop off the Cam bandwagon.  Just not careful/accurate enough in the 4th quarter with the game on the line.  Don't see him carrying without the threat of running the ball consistently and it doesn't appear that will be part of the game plan this year which is understandable considering his injury/surgery.

After one game and just 3 series in the pre season? I shouldn't even be surprised at anything in this fanbase anymore.

If you've watched this team throughout the Newton era and what has resulted from all those hits, then running CMC into the ground in similar fashion like Cam shouldn't sound like a great idea. We have other offensive players.

My only question is where were they? About half of his catches, or more, were check downs or bail outs. Line play was pretty good considering the quality of the competition. CMC balled out on an epic level and those last two runs were just amazing displays of want to win. Where was that in the others?

It looked to me, that the defense was protecting the deep ball.  I saw a few plays where Samuel was bracketed with a safety over the top.  I think that's why we saw a lot of short yardage passes to CMC and shallow crosses.  It was hard to tell on TV most of the time though.
