Was that actually an INt..what I briefly saw look like Wright down with possession and it was ripped from him..

50/50 balls go to the WR. it was a completion.

a 50/50 ball being ripped away and then rolling across the ground before it's picked up is not an interception lol. that was a boger-esque call

Every time a team passes against us it surprises me. You could run a straight up Georgia Tech style triple option offense that hardly throws a forward pass against us and have great success.

Ummm, you mean Navy's triple option right? Paul Johnson was my OC at Navy before taking the triple option to GT.

If we were playing to win, I'd be pissed about that call. Simultaneous possession is always supposed to favor the offense.

Agreed, though I think the refs got this right though. It’s pretty clear the Indy guy had it first. 13 didn’t even try to wrestle to ball to himself.

If he had hung on until the final whistle I think they would have called it our ball and let the colts challenge it.

    • I mean, if Moore really wants out, then it would behoove the Bears to make it happen sooner than later. X is a lot younger and cheaper, and may be a better fit for Johnson's musings than a disgruntled, unnecessary, overpaid vet. If they can dump his salary and maybe get a fourth or so in return, it may be worth it to them. As for development, I'm not concerned. You're talking about a seeming bust, a day three guy and a UDFA. They are developing relative to their ceilings. I doubt any of them will ever command the coverage, money, or the respect that Moore has acquired. He's a tier above them. Yes, even X.
    • IMO, if Ceedee plays against us, the game probably goes the other way. Same with Tyreek Hill and the Dolphins. Our team just isn't designed to beat teams with two high level receivers like that. But when you look at the league, how many teams really have two guys of that caliber?  There's nothing wrong with defensive adjustments, but sometimes I think a lot of fans want Evero to call a different play like a game on madden, and defensive football just isn't like that. That said, I thought we did a much better job this season against the Cowboys of flipping Jaycee and at least making them work for it, opposed to last season when they literally just lined CeeDee up on the other side of the field every single snap.  For us to just straight up switch to consistent man coverage, or a different zone, or whatever, we likely would consistently need different personnel on the field. Doing it a few times a game is a gamble and can work, but if we consistently run man coverage against the Cowboys, eventually a RB is going to beat a linebacker, or something of that nature with our personnel. Part of the reason Evero likes this scheme is that, while we have our defaults and presets, what we do is very multiple, and you can do a lot of different things pre and post snap. We are a challenging defense to read. But as you said, if guys are getting beat, it doesn't really matter what you call.
