I read some stat, can remember where, but it listed every super bowl winning coach and team.  Outside the Pats, most teams win a super bowl when a new coach comes within 5 years.  If they don't win a super bowl within 5 years of a new coach, chances are they won't.  Again, this excluded the Pats.  I say the no, the true panther way, they get close but come up short again.

Yeah, there’s been a few threads about that. Its not just coaches, it’s coach/QB combos. You have to move one or the other after 5 years of not winning a SB.

We will keep the status quo like the past two decades, so no.  After a quick rebuild, we assemble a great team for a short window.  But through average coaching and some mismanagement we make to the Super Bowl one magical season and fall just short again.  Everyone panics and hits the restart button.  The vicious cycle begins yet again.

Hmmmmm.   I will give that some thought.  The only SB that I can think of, won by non elite quarterback,  was Nick Foles.  Eagles backup quarterback win.

Btw, that win tells me that you need to have the right quarterback in the right circumstances.   Look what happened to Jacksonville this season.

That's the only example you can think of a non-elite QB winning a Super Bowl????

Joe Flacco? Brad Johnson? Trent Dilfer? Mark Rypien? Jeff Hostetler? Doug Williams?

The NFL is meant to make the weak teams strong; we see how a team can go from the laughing stock to #1 every year. It also helps that the Patriots dynasty will be no more (I'd assume.)  We have core pieces that can help at leat lead us to another SuperBowl appearance if all pans ot.
