Did Bruce Irvin Just Hint That He's Leaving the Panthers?

No matter what they run, they are completely unprepared. For either DEF. No DTs besides one you would love to get rid of. No SDE, 1 tech(and backup 3 too), LB just to line up in a 4-2(3). And that’s assuming Burns can be a 3-down player at WDE. A 3 man front is even worse to think about. There is no excuse for this team to be in this position

Irvin finished the 2019 season with 36 tackles (22 solo), 8.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 13 games played.

Irvin inked a one-year deal with Carolina last offseason after splitting the 2018 campaign between two teams. With just one season of fewer than 5.5 sacks in his seven prior to joining the Panthers, Irvin was added to help get after the quarterback, and he ultimately finished with a career high in the category. The veteran's tally included five sacks over his last six outings, setting him up nicely as he re-enters free agency this offseason. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/1779111/bruce-irvin

The most interesting part of his tweet:  la.  Does that mean Los Angeles or Louisiana?

I hope he means Los Angeles unless he wants to be paid in beignets and king cake. After a few weeks of that though, we might have to move him inside at 1-tech though.

I hope he and McCoy get big deals. Boston and Bradberry too. The more the merrier. Compensatory picks.

People keep mentioning the Dolphins and how they weren’t successful in tanking. They have 3 first round picks and 14 total picks this year. We won’t have that many 1sts next year but we could get a bunch of comp picks and maybe have an extra 2nd. I just hope we’ll have a great GM to make those picks.

Yesterday, Irvin tweed a couple of things that didn't seem very promising for Panther fans that would like to see him back in 2020.

Should Panthers fans read much into this? Maybe some, but I don't think there's much here honestly. Players tweet stuff like this all the time, especially when engaging with former teammates. With a new coaching staff in place and some uncertainty coming from the front office, Irvin could be looking at his options and you can't really blame the guy knowing that he's in the latter half of his career.

Meh. Got the decent check, did half a job. Not gonna cry and wring my hands over him heading out.

Seeya. Good luck, though.
