Panther fans likely don't need more disappointment...

Wow, I really saw Luke as a better fit coaching than in the booth. Like others have said, his communication skills and personality don't seem as magnetic to an announcing gig as they would to the football field.

I feel like he would be an amazing coach, but going to the booth, he could get washed out by public opinion rather quickly.

Great players rarely make great coaches. But I just don't see Luke's dry personality translating well to the microphone. Maybe I'm wrong, but I just don't see it.

It will be interesting.  Luke is very soft spoken and mild mannered.  Maybe, however, he will be as analytical as Romo is---telling us what the offense is going to run before the play.  I imagine he would bring his film preparation into the booth--he may lack the personality, but I would rather have inside info---someone who played the game who can analyze the game on the field and not some game from his glory days.  It could work.

put him and romo together and let them play football chess diagnosing plays and audibles. Money.

Romo is a the first thought I had--what a great concept to put both in the same booth---imagine MNF with that.

I know a lot of us are judging him from his commercials, but you have to remember that's uncomfortable scripted bs cheese talk. He may be great breaking down plays and giving us an inside look at the game (a la Romo). That said, please fuging help coach for us.

Coaching is a grind and he’ll have to move around to move up. I doubt he wants/needs that kind of life.

I'm guessing he'll never reveal the real reason behind his retirement but the resounding thought is his health with Concussions, correct?  Because that guy didn't 'lose a step' last year like he says in his speech.
