Dude was looked at higher by the league than Bradberry, then got PAID in NY and fell off the map.

He played pretty  well in NY. He was hampered by injuries both years. He missed 6 games in the middle of 18 but still put up some of his best numbers. 19 was cut short by IR.

he was injured and played only first half of 2019 after a solid 2018

Still the same applies, youre less willing to get back on field once you cashed in. You pass on getting treatment and doing all you can to get back. Then it stacks up and youre waay behind, but who cares I got mine! Just like when people win the lotto and most quit working. Very few have that drive, I believe with everything Jerry Rice or Kobe would be the same player getting 100.00 dollars or 100,000,000 million.

Love the new PS eligibility rules being able to sign vested veterans and keep them until they are up to speed on the scheme without using a roster spot.  Can see this remaining after COVID especially with 17 game season.

Love the new IR rules too. Coming back after 3 weeks. We all know Marty loves IR.

    • I still think a Dalton thumb injury screwed us 2 seasons in a row.  It allowed the Bryce Young comeback after whoever finally gave a greenlight on being done w/ him 2 weeks into the season.  and I think we saw a soft benching this year and they wanted to see Andy run it with this crew.  But Andy hurting his thumb killed us from seeing whatever he has at full go in a game.  Bryce Young was never hurt those 2 games to the degree which called him to miss a game IMO.  You don't see QBs sit for such minor things....unless you just want to use it to explore and see.
    • I was quite critical of Ron Rivera's game day coaching decisions and management over his years here. Especially when he coached super conservative playing not to lose. But at the end of the day he never had to try and win with a Bryce Young. John Fox had to try and win with a Bryce Young and he completely checked out and got himself fired. The only. Only solution right now. Is to remove the anchor around our necks from the equation and move forward however we can and assess all the moving parts with the time we have left so we can move forward accordingly in the offseason. Not doing so is only going to further delay evaluating what we have in this young roster and this staff led by Canales.
    • Sometimes GMs try outsmart everyone by picking a player they think has the physical tools and can be coached up but Legette is an example what happens when that doesn't work out. Teams that are already contenders with a full roster can take those chances. The Eagles, for example, could have rolled the dice on a guy like Legette. But the Panthers needed, and still need, to draft guys who are ready to play now in the first round. Legette wasn't that guy and there were much better options available.
