Can you feel it?

Exciting football is back in Carolina after a long ass hiatus. This is the best I have felt about this team since 2016. Even when we made the playoffs, we knew it was smoke and mirrors and the team really wasn't very good. Why? Because it all came down to poor coaching and one superior athlete making up for their ineptitude. That is never going to be a long term winning story in the NFL.

Now? Now we have talent spread throughout the team and coaching who knows not only how to put them each in a position to succeed, but takes accountability when they don't.

This feels like a new day in Carolina.

There seems to be improvement across the board and no reliance on star players, so this has a different feel than any season we've had in a long, long time. Good coaching, man, good coaching -- it brings the best out in everybody.

How they reintegrate CMC will really show a lot about this team.

I was content at the beginning of the year with being excited about our future. Very talented offense needing time to come together, and a versatile/attacking/youth injection at defense that would develop over time.

Now after looking around the division and seeing our success without CMC, if we don’t win the division I will be disappointed.

The coaching staff is giving a lot to be hopeful about. I'm still a little worried about it being early and not over hyping it but damn we look poised to be a real contender in a year or two. The new staff looks to be what many on here dreamed about for years.

There are reasons that teams win consistently. Organizational Leadership. Its still very early, but the culture and the coaching seems to be something these players have bought into. Matt Rhule is the real deal. He's maximizing the young talent around him. We have rookies starting in pivotal roles and they're making key contributions. Joe Brady is as advertised. Teddy is the right guy for the post Cam era. Panthers football is in good hands.

We gone be alright.

Indeed. The improvement in coaching and preparedness is very exciting. Can’t wait to see what the future brings. For a rebuilding year, games are actually quite fun to watch. Even our last rebuilding year in 2011, even though we had the shiny new toy in Cam and he was a lot of fun to watch, there was still the poor coaching that brought us down.  Let’s hope they keep it up.

    • I think that depends more on how high our pick is. If we have the 1st, 2nd or even 3rd pick i think we are drafting a QB rather than shopping FA market for a QB1. Curious if we’d be reluctant to start a rookie QB week 1 though.
    • Hurney 2.0 and Fitts were so bad I don't know if it was intentional or they were that abysmally clueless. Fittershits panicked repeatedly being on the back end of positional runs while Hurney couldn't evaluate anyone outside of the 1st.  I can't figure out why Plummer still has a jersey. There's no reason. Dalton brings nothing to the table. If another QB gets cut that has given a glimmer of anything better than what we have, we should look, and that goes for every position.  I cant get over how much different this team could have been with a competent GM and having accepted the Rams offer for Burns. This franchise could have gone in a totally different direction.
    • I thought tanking wasn't actually a thing and we were firmly against it though?
