Teddy Bridgewater is so terrible that he

His contract is structured to be team friendly, he's already being paid a substantial portion of it, it's not an overly high dollar contract compared to the league average, and there are absolutely teams who will consider him a contender for their starting job

If he would be traded this off season, how does his contract affect the Panthers and the other team?

What team could want him to compete for the starting job? How many QB needy teams are there?

There are always QB needy teams desperate and willing to do stupid things for a QB

If you don't get the value you like, just wait

Benching him behind a top 5 QB doesn't nearly affect his value as benching him behind xfl guy does

Teddy played poorly most of the game. Missed wide open guys several times. But we were a 54 yard missed field goal away from escaping with a win. You don't bench a QB for having a bad game when you are 4-8. Teddy will stay the starter for the next game after the bye. Let's see what he does. If he keeps stinking then maybe we look at other options. We gave this game away so many ways.

Teddy has been below average and folded time after time this year. Benching him wouldn't be for a single performance, it would be because he appears to have no upside and this team needs a QB. I'd so much rather painfully lose while finding out if Walker can replicate his performance for the rest of the season, as that would at least be useful information.

no one is trading for teddy wtf. our only hope is if we fire hurney and another team hires him. who else is paying a premium for that? i mean if you want me to take teddy and that contract you better send me a nice draft pick too. like a 7th for teddy and a 2nd rounder.

Hurney's isn't going anywhere after the game Chinn just had

and I don't agree

QBs with name recognition always have trade value

It's a modest contract by QB standards, and a portion of it has already been paid

lol he would have audibled out of a play that had moore wide fuging open

He shouldn't have a single defender left after that. This isn't what you want in your QB. The play call was perfect as shown by DJ getting wide open for the TD. Teddy choked. He's choked in every big moment he's been in this season.

The problem with benching Bridgewater is that he's still the best quarterback on the roster.

It's pretty hard to imagine that happening as long as we're still in the playoff race. Once we're eliminated, then who knows?

I, and many others, are not so sure. PJ hasn't been very good but his skillset offers something that Teddy can't and that may outweigh the areas where Teddy is clearly better than him. We need to take the opportunity in this draft to get a top QB. Stacked class, likely high pick for us which ideally shouldn't happen again any time soon -- it's a no brainer.
