We 100% can. This qb class is very deep and after Lawrence not much seperates the rest of the class

I think there’s a small gap from Lawrence to Fields, a small gap from Fields to Wilson, a bigger gap from Wilson to Lance and then a cavern from him to the rest of the class.

So what kind of runner is he? Would he be durable in the NFL? What stands out about him as a passer

A better runner than Newton; more nimble and elusive.  Has a live arm..strong, but not a cannon.  Accurate enough, but that is where he needs to improve.

What stand out is he only threw for 200 yards in a game 4 times in his career in division 2. In their championship game they threw just 10 times and had him run 30. This year in a showcase game against lesser talent he competed 15 of 30 passes.

Philly gave up and pulled Hurts to have Sudfiels prove he’s a 3rd string QB. SMH.

Hey @GOAT here’s a game where the coach 100% gave up to save their draft slot. Go for a FG on 4th and goal from the 5? Nope why tie the game with a whole quarter left and now pull your starter who has only played a few games for a 3rd stringer who’s never going to be a starter to get a look at him even though Sudfield has been an Eagle for 4 years. Jalen Hurts needs more reps than Sudfield does.

This pick could easily be Trey Lance . I'm not sure why he's being totally overlooked right now other than him just not playing this season . Recency bias at its finest I guess.

If not then it could be anyone . I have a feeling the Panthers are trying to do a wholesale rebuild and dont want to trade the farm for a QB

Getting Surtain II or Micah Parsons would be a nice consolation prize and hope Lance Trask or Jones plummets to our 2nd or 3rd round picks.

He’s very risky. You have to take it on faith he can make reads, scan a field and play like an NFL QB because he never did in college, unlike some of the other QB prospects.  If Lawrence, Wilson and Fields are gone I’m ok taking that risk, but Lance is very risky.

Very fair, and it's hard to defend Ron here because playing the better player too late is the Rivera special.

But also I kinda don't mind seeing what your first round pick QB can do.

Unfortunately, the answer was fuging nothing.

Defend him? He did what he wanted to do.

Same record as 2019, worse draft position. 2020 Panthers in a nutshell.
Personally glad all that crap is over now. I said that this would be the only season I hope to lose and I will hope we win and make the playoffs next year, unless we are eliminated from the playoffs. Then I will be back on that losing train. It is the Way.

    • Over previous years? Sure is 😆
    • An odd little vibe I've noticed here of late: some folks are "all or nothing" to an absolutely extreme level when it comes to Bryce. Here's a bit of truth telling though: There are, in fact, things Bryce does well. Likewise, there are areas in which he's improved over his time here. He has, on several occasions now, legitimately helped us win games. On the flipside, there have been failures in other areas as well as coaching that we're not in any way his fault.  And finally , it is also genuinely possible that the team may see him as the future, even if we don't. The craziest part, though? It's actually possible that they're right and we're wrong. All of this is true, and more, yet if you accept any of these premises people go from zero to apesh-t in under three seconds 😳 Anything less than total disavowal of Bryce and / or agreement that he's the worst QB of all time and suddenly you're a "stan". Oy 🙄 The reality though?  Bryce is indeed an NFL quarterback. Not a great one, probably backup level good, and I've seen way worse. Now, if you run that statement through your personal Google translator and it comes back with some version of "I want to throw 50 million a year at Bryce for the next 10 years", that's not really my issue it's yours  I don't wanna make him the franchise quarterback, but it's not my call. Win or lose, the team is going to do what they think is best. And as always, if it disagrees with what I think we should do, I'm gonna hope I'm the one who's wrong. Internet clout means nothing. Watching my favorite team win at my favorite sport meas fun 😁
