Calling bs on this no one would want to play for the jets with the state of things plus giving all their capital away to build the team Watson would never agree to kill his Career with the jets.

They have 5 first round picks over the next three years, they can give up draft picks and still be in decent shape as far as draft capitol goes, better than us.

They also have the 3rd most cap space this offseason in what should be a buyers market.  They also look to have hit on their 1st rounder last year, a LT, and we all know how hard that is to find.

I know their history isn't good but if he buys into the current front office and the new coach they are actually in a good spot as far as resources go.

Dk about the Dolphins, but he definitely seems to be interested in the Jets, as Watson himself liked the post linking him to the Jets.  Regardless of Saleh being there, if Watson legit wants out of Houston just to go to NYJ, then sadly, he will get what he deserves.  Saleh is a great coach, but that organization is horribly dysfunctional.  And if part of Watson's issue is the culture in the front office in Houston, I don't think he's done much research on Woody Johnson lol.  This could be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of...  but, Watson has been in NY recently and I'm not sure, but I think his agent may be based out of there, so he might be being steered up there by him with the old false hope of him getting better exposure in that market.  Smh...

    • Will be interesting to see how the Caps adjust. They were thoroughly beaten in this game despite it going to OT and they knew it by getting chippy. If they lose game 2 they’re in a hole they might not be able to dig themselves out of. They played old and tired tonight and I think they might get swept.
    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
