And makes me really happy that we're one of the handful of teams with 10's of million of dollars in cap space to go shopping with.  This is one of the most important off seasons we've had in quite some time.  There is really an opportunity here to improve our team quickly if they play their cards right.

We could get some good players at cheaper prices due to the lower cap. Hope we concentrate on OL, S and a slot WR.

Meh, let's be realistic. Yes, we could get some really good players for one year. Then what? I'd rather save our money and focus on the draft, maybe fill a couple of OL or DL holes with young promising players we can sign to 2 or 3 year contracts.

There's going to be a lot of seasoned vets  signed for smaller contracts on short term deals.

Being, what, 9th in current cap? (this is before we decide the fates of Shaq & Teddy), I think we could get 1 or 2 decent long term fits that are start now types.  Maybe fringe star.

Then we've got 17 mil to spend elsewhere.  Potentially more without Shaq or Bridge.  Could get up to 27 mil.

It's going to be hog-killing day around the league. There's going to be a lot of blood letting. 

And if you're sitting there with a fair chunk of change in your pockets, you can pick up some good building blocks cheap.

Hopefully, Tepper is wise enough to make the most of this rather than just keep all that money in a pile in an effort to blow it on one big star.

Don't forget you have to set aside some for draftees.

Possible there will also be other moves on our part to clear more cap.

cap went down, lot of guys making a lot of money who didn't do much last year. fun times!
