Fortune favors the bold. Once again, the Panthers are NOT bold. This was so predictable. Months ago I said the Panthers will need to trade up and that the price would be steep. The price just got steeper and the chances of a move up drop precipitously. I fear it is the Panthers that will be without a chair in the game of quarterback musical chairs.

At this point do you just stick it out with Bridgewater?

Yes, I think so,  because if QB's got 1 thru 4, we are going to almost have our choice of a prime, non-QB player at 8.  Might as well fix another glaring issue like CB or LT and roll with Teddy one more year.  Maybe all the talk this off season will motivate him a little and he will come out and kick some ass next year?

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
