Robby Anderson probably has some good insight on him so it seems like they wouldn't have made the trade if Darnold wasn't an upgrade over Teddy

If anything, the picks are worth the development time either way. 

I prefer Darnold to everyone in this draft not named Trevor Lawrence. 

Thank you! Is Sam Darnold better than who you possibly could have drafted at 8? And he's in the last year of his deal! He's going to be playing for that 5th year option, so you may get the best out of him. Seems like a solid move to me. Now, just hang in at 8 and get elite talent to continue to build the roster.
