Sewell has to be our #1 prospect at this point . If the Bengals take Chase or Pitts we could have a decent shot at getting him . What do you think our chances are?

And I'm starting to see a trend among mocks that if Sewell doesn't go to Cinci then the Lions take him right before our pick . If they really are that big of a threat to take him why wouldn't the Panthers trade up slightly to get him ? I personally would gladly trade one or two mid rounders along with 8 to get Detroit's 7 or Miami's 6 to get Sewell. It shouldn't cost that much because Detroit or Miami could likely still get the player they wanted because they only traded down one or two spots .

My prediction trying to see through all the smokescreens and bs.

1. Jax- Tevor Lawrence

2. NYJ- Zach Wilson

3. SF- Justin Fields

4. ATL- Kyle Pitts

5. CIN- Ja'Marr Chase

6. DEN- (trade) Trey Lance

7. NE- (trade) Mac Jones

8. CAR- Penei Sewell

9. MIAMI- Jaylen Waddle

10. DAL- Jaycee Horn

5 qb's in 7 picks????  While I would love for that to happen its just not going to go down like that.

I think SF goes with Mac and the draft really starts with ATL.  If they go QB (which I doubt) then the craziness will start.  I still think they go pitts and Lance and/or fields begin their descent down the draft board.

Thing is who have you heard talked up vs. who has been dogged the last couple of months? I feel like SF wants Wilson. Some team in the top 8 has been pushing the narrative that Jones is maybe the most pro ready, cerebral QB outside of Lawrence. SF wants to make the Jets overthink and take Jones.

On the flip side idk if Jones is the #3 QB on SF board, they just think the Jets value that style of QB over a Lance or Fields. Not much has been said about Lance outside of his lack of experience in Division 1, I personally think the #3 is between him and Fields if Wilson doesn't fall. Fields on the other hand went from consensus #2 to (falling out of the top 10)? All because he's been put through the wringer. It stinks of teams trying to get him to fall, maybe Carolina or Detroit but likely Denver, New England, Washington or Chicago.

I personally think if either Jones or Fields are available at #8 Carolina will draft them, even though I would be annoyed, that's why Denver or NE will trade up. I could also see the Chargers jumping us at #7 if Sewell falls.

    • Okay you didn’t propose that the inexperience of the receivers is the reason for the conservative play calling. You didn’t say that, right?  I downplayed the OL characterizations because tnhatvwas sort of a unique situation. One game.  Without looking back through your stuff with AT to really be accurate, you basically claim that his absence is kind of at the root of this receiver weakness. My words.  I will comment on that. 1st overall. Billed as a point guard.  Third year. That third year is big , I mean when so the training wheels come off?  Butcyiuveobg think a guy with  his pedigree should be able to adapt and we are half way through. Not week one or two.    I mean I didn’t try to misrepresent what you said. I am fine with being corrected.  But you are making a lot claims for a Bryce that many people - including the much respected Greg Cosell - have gotten past.  You do know that he is on record twice that J know of, basically saying what I said. What other people say.  You are sort of Bryce’s Don Quixote here it seems to me.  premade excuse whatever typos the phone is small the keys are small.
