I didn't stutter. I know "it" when I see it. He's too good of a football player and underappreciated route runner with sticky hands.

I agree with you since we have the coaches and GM we have. But if Hurney and Ron were still here, would you still say 100%? Lol! Ron would sit him behind a vet receiver so he could learn behind a guy who couldn’t teach his new puppy to chew a dog toy.....

Yeah, you can't publicly throw that much shade at a guy and NOT part ways with him. They were DONE with Teddy after he threw Brady under the bus blaming a late play call for him missing a wide open DJ in the endzone. There was a very distinct shift in the tone and message regarding Teddy from Rhule and company after that one and honestly it's tough to blame them for it. You dialed up a play that got a WR wide ass open for an easy TD, your QB airmailed it, then somehow still tried to blame you for it? Ouch.

True.  Teddy's play also fell off a cliff for the rest of the season.  That saints game was painful too.

Thanks for the write up. Keep it up!

I agree about Thomas. We're all hoping for an Olsen 2.0 but, heck, I'd even relish a Jenkins or Walls clone. Thomas ain't it. For a 4th year player to garner praise from the head coach about having a good offseason this early in the offseason ...... man, I'd start packing.

Okay. Sorry. Jenkins isn't the TE I was thinking of. It was Kris Mangum.  I couldn't edit my own post to correct it. 🤷‍♂️

I have really missed these write ups.

Thanks for the comments and the pix.  Love what we're hearing about Horn, Shi and Tremble.  Cautiously optimistic about Sam.

Pretty sure I didn't know we had a guy named Sam Chandler on our roster.  It seems every recent write up by every beat reporter there's some guy where it's like "who's that? I've never heard of him, swear I've never seen that name before..."

Gone are the days when I could recite our full 90 man roster in my sleep.  I've got a lot of work to do to learn about these guys.  But thankfully I should be able to do some of that work by watching them in person at training camp!   Less than 1 month until I'm wheels up and on a plane to head Stateside for a 6 month home leave.  Very ready for a break!

It makes me angry that the Panthers' media team doesn't put a caption under each picture when showing photos from workouts. I looked at a few Patriots' photos last year because I knew looking at Cam in their garb would remind me of old Madden Franchises. There would be Peyton Manning playing for KC, Vince Young for NYG, and Sean Alexander playing for the Texans. Anyways, they would have the caption telling who was who under each photo and from two practice sessions I knew their roster better than ours. I would have to go back and forth between roster list and pictures when looking at Panthers' practice photos. Media team got to step it up.

    • This is gonna be longest six weeks ever
    • This 1000%.  Hey who wants to sign with the guy that couldn't even get his client the guaranteed contract of a 3rd round pick?  Lmao
    • I don't think it's any weird or unique clause, it's the offset language, same thing so many contract disputes are over. It just means that including it, if a player is cut and then signed by another team, the original team would be able to subtract how much they're getting paid by the new team from what they still owe him on their guaranteed money. For example, it's why Russell Wilson signed for the minimum last year with the Steelers as that was included in his Denver contract.  So if he signed with the Steelers for $1 million, he'd get $1 million less from the Broncos, if it was $2 million, he'd get $2 million less, basically he couldn't make any more money than he was already going to make, so you sign for the minimum to not take unnecessary cap room from your new team while giving extra cap room to your old one. The problem with trying to include it in rookie deals is that a team trying to include it, it says they think they don't really believe the player will make it 4 years with the team before they cut them.  And this usually comes up with one or two rookies in most seasons, the difference is it's usually handled much more quietly and not as public and ugly as this one. The other difference is that it's happening with the Bengals, which I believe I saw are one of the few (or only?) team that doesn't have protections for rookies in rookie and mini camps to be able to participate even if they haven't signed their contract yet.  The other teams have injury protections that allow them to still play, but the Bengals do not, which is also why this one is so public and ugly, as most the time this happens, the rookie is still participating in the rookie and subsequent mini camps, giving them more time to get the contract done before training camp when they'd then hold out.
