So now Horn/Chinn can work on Pitts, making the Falcons much more stoppable from a defensive point of view. A 2nd round isn’t good value either. It’s probably going to be late 50s/early 60s for arguably the best WR in the league.

Horn should be on Ridley. Chinn, Shaq and others can work on Pitts, though I highly doubt Pitts is that big of a threat his rookie year.

glad Julio is gone but atl is still stacked with elite weapons.

Agreed. It is a much easier transition for a pass threat TE than an elite CB prospect.

I would expect Pitts to be a much better player in year one than Horn. I expect that will have flipped by Year 3.

I just think he is that rare freakish player who will put up huge numbers year 1 in a very pass friendly league. He’s basically Calvin Johnson playing TE.

After weeks of speculation surrounding star wide receiver Julio Jones, the Atlanta Falcons are trading him to the Tennessee Titans.

The Falcons will receive a 2022 second-round pick and 2023 fourth-rounder. The Titans reportedly will also get a 2023 sixth-round pick in the trade. Ian Rapoport was the first to report the deal, which is also pending a physical.

Depends on how they use Pitts. If he is lined up out wide and is there best weapon I would expect our best coverage guy to cover him. That’s the luxury of Horn IMO, he has the speed and size to take away our opponent’s best weapon. With Julio gone and Pitts being drafted so high, he will get plenty of looks his rookie year. Horn covered Pitts some when USC played Florida and did ok.

    • Any idea what happened to him at LSU? im reading that he was considered a 1st round pick in 2023, had an off 2024 season with only 4 sacks but was also on a horrible FSU team then went to LSU where he was supposed to be on an aggressive defense that should have given him a lot of sacks but he only ended up with one….   was he injured? Did the top SEC competition expose him? What happened? Cause this guy was considered a top prospect .
    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
