Pro bowl is just name recognition at this point.

And it has been for a very long time. The point was he wasn’t near that level of play last year. I think everyone is well aware of how Pro Bowls haven’t been an accurate barometer of a players ability.

Love to sign him! Just for the chance he will be back next year alone is worth it. 2 year deal .. 1st year min 2nd min with big performance incentives… pushing it to a market deal … little risk big reward …. If he don’t like the terms then move on … but love to have his talent and attitude on the offensive line… does he zone block well ? Seems like thats the type of olinemen we are looking for are looking for have zone blocking experience

He has a recurring bone spur issue. He is already talking retirement if this surgery doesn't work.

Even as bad as our OG unit looks, I don't see how a player that close to retirement from injury helps us.

Only if he can't be fixed. Otherwise he could play for another 3-5 years.

Agreed but I think he has had multiple surgeries for this same issue. Like I said, the fact he is talking retirement says a lot.

Are the message board for 31 teams the same each time a player is cut?

Ice Cube Yes GIF

Just seen were he needs a 3rd surgery according to recent z-ray form pitt doctor. He said "see how it gos before making up his mind". I dont think we are the right team for him, in this timeline.

I  don't think bringing in an injury prone, ankle weary player like Castro, who is probably at the end of his career, is the mode of operation the Panthers front office would be willing to follow.
