Madden 22 ranks panthers second worst team in the league

No this isn't a Madden says we're bad it must mean we suck post. I just find it interesting to see what they think of us. I know we only won 5 games but a lot of those could have easily been wins. We gave the chiefs all they could handle. Second worst team in the league is disrespectful.

Honestly, anyone who has played any Madden over the last 2 or 3 years already knows...  we could've had Cam back coming off his otherworldly MVP season, Smitty in his prime, Pep in his prime, Luke, Reggie White in his prime, and they still would've had us in the bottom third of their rankings.  It had been so frustrating for Panther fans and their ratings over the last few years.  We get absolutely no respect.

Also, their dev team makes has no problem flaunting their personal fandom at every turn...  their office is in Tampa, so they have tons of Bucs fans, but weirdly enough, they also have someone there who absolutely loves the Falcons, because they get plenty of love as well.  Last year, all year, it was Raiders, Niners, Bucs, WFT, Atlanta, and weirdly enough, Seattle who got all the love.  On Ultimate Team, Cam never even got a Flashback or anything and they had DJ Moore as a 80 on a scale of 1-99 all year until after the new year.

That game has went so far downhill since they obtained the exclusive rights license...  the lack of respect for our teams year in and year out just makes it that much worse.

And to show you a sign of things to come for 22...  Ultimate Team has Brian Burns as an 87.  Not bad right?  Well, Jeremy Chinn is an 80 ovr.  Remember how I said WFT was one of their favorites?  Chase Young is a fuging 86...  He didnt even deserve ROY, yet there is a 6 point gap between him and Chinn, and Burns is only 1 better?  GTFOH.

What type respect should people be giving us?

You really want to dig in that Sam Darnold should be viewed as better than Goff or Trevor?

Well it just shows a lack of research on the developers. Our defense is fairly stacked and offensively we are strong at the peripherals.

I mean, I would bet anyone on this board we finish higher than the Lions or Jags this year lol.

    • It will be really interesting to see how both sides handle this. I'm sure the team would love to get him signed to a 4 year deal based on his output so far and some potential factored in, i.e. something like a 4 year $30 million contract.  But I could see his agent telling him the best path is to take the one year offer, put up a big year next year and then really cash in. The team also has to keep in mind T-Mac's 2nd contract, which likely will happen after the 2027 season assuming he keeps improving as expected.  Even if we could get him on a budget 4 year deal for what he could become, the problem then becomes when he wants to re-negotiate in 2 years during the same summer we will extend T-Mac, and you don't want to spend that much on WRs in one offseason, just see the Bengals this last year. Taking everything into consideration, I'm thinking the 1 year deal and then getting him to sign a 4-5 year deal after hopefully say a 800ish yard season next year might be best for our cap situation and separate his and T-Mac's negotiation periods.
    • And yet jax made it no further than we did, and its very possible the Pats don't either. I think it speaks more to the overall down year for the nfl as far as having great/dominant teams, every team this year has fatal flaws that can be exploited
    • Ehhh I agree the nfc is stronger this year but their really werent any truly dominant teams this year everyone is flawed, I think the narrative for the NFL this year will to try ahd force a Josh Allen SB win
