Sam Friggin Darnold is who I’ll be focusing on! We’ll go as far as he goes

Do I expect him to be Mahomes or Allen? No

Could he be an Eli Manning who relies on a stout d line, good RB and WRs and gets his team into the playoffs, that’s my hope.

I will be watching how he does his read progressions, gels with the O-line and his WRs

The defense. In somewhat of a homer move, I just picked them up in FF. I am looking for comfort that I am not overreacting to my fanhood. To my defense, Kay Adams has them as a top 5 FF Def on her board. I am super excited about their potential, but hopefully I am not a year too early.

Left side of the OL, especially if Moton gets some time there.

Brady Christensen-if he can play RT, the could make the Moton to LT move.

LG.  Is Elflein the answer or is he simply Paradis II?

The S situation--with emerging Robinson, Chandler, and Franklin, are we set with the depth behind Burris and Chinn?

MLB

Players:

Hartsfield--nobody is talking about him, but he could be a factor.

Nixon and Hoskins.  How good might we be at DT?

YGM (need to start seeing fire from him--fire I say!)

Marshall and ShiSmith (might have a lot to do with the Anderson 2023 contract)

Joey (the human slice) Sly.

    • I don’t remember Mills from the USFL days just when he was in NO.  But when you saw Smitty it screamed oh yeah, this guy has something. Immediately. So, have not seen anything that dramatic with Young. All I know about him says he is solid with his character and smarts and don’t see a lot of that translating into screaming he really has something. I think the people that say he could possibly acceptably run an offense designed around him, with top flight talent in support, are probably about right. But I can’t see any Pro Bowls or lofty accomplishments in my crystal ball.
    • I thought I read they’d still be there but as a backup in case of malfunction.  So it’s not so much a goodbye as it is they’re being sidelined (I’ll see myself out)
    • Their forecheck is relentless because they are so physical and heavy.  It’s just a perfect mashup for how they play. Florida before Paul Marice played just like us. Speed but with finesse.  Paul made them but into playing heavy. They went and got players that added to that style he wants and it works.  Plus they have the best goalie in the league.  That helps more than anything. The canes have got let Koochie be their guy he will never become the star that most think he will if rod keeps sticking with vets that flame out.    1. Koochie or a Soros type player  2. Switch to zone defense  3. Get heavier.    like I said, I love Rod. Best pro coach ever in the Carolinas sports buy he is holding us back with his philosophy and style.  He is the reason.  He can change all of that with decisions.
