Trubiski came out on fire. I don't put much trust in preseason, but Sam better play good tonight. We could have gotten trubiski for a 6th rounder. I'm still on the Watson bandwagon either way unless Sam is somehow a top 5 qb which I highly doubt.

I'm convinced that is the backup plan (as soon as massage-gate settles down).

A name we should all be familiar with tried to kill Justin Fields... and just because it'll trigger some folks, Andre Smith is also a Tar Heel. LOL!

Knocked off his helmet and headband.  Damn.  They should check to make sure his socks are still on.

"Why isn't our QB playing multiple quarters in the preseason?"

What if Mitch is actually the best QB in the NFL but didn't want to be on the Bears?

I wouldn't be shocked to see him have an Alex Smith type career resurgence elsewhere. Nagy might be worse than Gase. Dude is TRASH. The Bears should fire him tonight. Straight up.

Yeah, the value to risk was very good for Trubiski imho. I wanted him &/or Minshew. I'm hopeful for Darnold, but he wasn't who I wanted.

What I'm really hoping is that our defense grows to be good enough that our offense is set up in good positions - both in terms of field position and score - so that we don't have to lean on that side of the ball too heavily.

I think that's the direction our team is trending overall.

Honestly this is my concern. This isn't the same league as it was when the Brad Johnsons and Trent Dilfers if the world were winning Super Bowls. They keep tweaking the rules because they want high flying offense and that's what they're gonna get.

    • You said the team goes limp-dick in the playoffs because RBA won't change. (Note that you did not suggest what changes you think he needs to make). You then stated "Rod will never change anything." I can only infer that the team continues to fall out of the playoffs because RBA doesn't/won't change. Therefore, if RBA will never change anything, the team will fall out of the playoffs. I mean, that is literally the line of logic you posted. So, I'm not sure what you're suggesting, since I don't have a crystal ball.
