Per Gantt

Rhule doesn’t want to get into too much Jets game talk, but did say at this point, the starting OL would be the one he put on the field last night (Erving/Elflein/Paradis/Miller/Moton).

Per Newton

Matt Rhule plans to go into the Panthers opener vs the Jets with the starting offensive line of LT Cameron Erving, LG Pat Elflein, C Matt Paradis, RG John Miller, RT Taylor Moton.

God help us.

I don't take anything Rhule tells the media on face value.

He spoke positively about Perryman, then had him traded the next day. He said Slye was working hard and just going through one of those periods, then cut him the next day.

The OL group isn't set in stone yet - they're clearly desperate to get Christensen involved in the mix somewhere (he's played at 3 different positions in these pre-season games) and all Brown has done is win.

Paradis is terrible too - that can't be allowed to continue. Move Elflein there and stop the bleeding.

If coaches lying net us late round draft picks I am ok with reading the tea leaves

    • Maye wasn’t seeing the field well at all last night and when he had time to make throws on multiple occasions he flat out missed them. His first interception was a wtf throw Maye was downright awful all postseason long. If it wasnt for CJ Stroud being the worst QB in the history of the NFL during the divisional round NE would’ve lost. Then the same thing happened with Stidham Drake finally had to play some good defenses and he looked really bad  That SB was terrible. Sam Darnold led the league in turnovers this season. Sam is still very much Sam but Seattle is so damn good they can make up for some of his boneheaded plays.  You really do need a complete team. Saw the same thing with Philly last year. I think teams will look at Seattle and see Darnold’s contract and realize that’s probably the ceiling in terms of money that should be allocated to a QB and still being able to field a complete team. However Seattle doesn’t have any big awful contracts that’s also key. We’re stuck with Wharton’s god awful contract this year and Rob Hunt’s isn’t far behind
    • The Bryce super fans on here.
    • I don't get the Saints, but yeah, we should be higher than the other six teams.   Dumpster fire franchises, new coaching staffs with rebuilding teams and then you have the Panthers. About spot on.
