Stephen A. Smith: "Christian McCaffrey receives less coverage because he's White"

"Reverse discrimination?" Haha! Oh boy.

On a serious note, it is mainly because he plays for us. Kyle Brandt even admitted that no one is going to pay attention to the Panthers after last night so everyone should watch CMC while he was nationally televised. He is regarded as one of the best RBs in the league, if not the best. It's not like he isn't getting respect. His face would be everywhere if he were drafted by Dallas.

haven’t really ever seen evidence of that. These shows just say anything to make you click the article.

If anything his status in the league is amplified by his fantasy value. Everybody knows how good he is.

I feel like tons of players are spoken about when their race contrasts to their positional trend. Black Punters/Kickers, black QBs, white DBs etc. If someone is South Asian or Latino it usually comes up too. Always highlighted, never avoided.

We’ve not been a good team even with CMC going 1k/1k.

He’s missed significant time, and he doesn’t have a huge library of house calls.

Bad team, gaps in playing time, volume touches guy, does his work between the 20’s.

What kind of coverage does he warrant exactly?  He’s our guy so we love him and think he’s the GOAT.  No underlying social issue here, just context.
