So, I've advocated for signing Mitchell Schwartz to a make good deal, knowing he may not be able to play much, if at all, this season.

Also interesting that Erving has *some* experience playing center. I would say he would at least be a mild improvement in the center position, if not a major one.

I know the bye isn't for several weeks, but I would take the chance on moving Moton to LT, putting Brady at RT with Erving at C and see if something clicks. The time for trying things is now.

Next year, you could have Moton at LT (or a draft pick), Schwartz at RT, Erving at C and draft picks/FA to fill the rest.

I would rather see what Brady has at LT and Earwig at LG, he was a terrible center. See what Tacklenburg has at center first. At this point and how he plays RT, I don't need or want to see Moton at LT

The OLine is so bad... it leads me to believe that we will spend big money ... Bye Donte Jackson

Yeah pretty much. We could resign Bouye as well.

Letting Jackson go would still leave us

Horn, Henderson, Bouye, Taylor, Pride, Thomas-Oliver, Hartsfield.

I would trade Jackson for a decent O-Line.

The o line being this bad means its almost guaranteed we aren't resigning Donte Jackson. Maybe Hassan Reddick ad well. You know they're going to pay DJ and Burns when he's due.

And honestly I wouldn't mind if it meant shoring up the o line.

We will have enough cap room to sign even two big free agent o linemen if we don't resign 1 or 2 defensive players.

Then we can either use our R1 pick on o line or trade down and possibly get a 2nd and 3rd back to use on o line.

Regardless,  it needs to be a priority this off-season.

One thing ppl forget is that GMs even with draft capitol & money, still have to make good decisions bringing talent.

Fitt has shown that he can sign/draft good talent at several positions. OFFENSIVE LINE is not one of them if you judge by his free agency acquisitions.

Elflein & Erving were DAY 1 signings...DAY 1!!! that means you had ur pick of the litter, u evaluated everyone & decided these 2 were what u needed. offered them relatively big contracts which I don't believe they would have gotten anywhere else. 2 of the worst lineman you could have sign even at the end of free agency were picked up on DAY 1.

So going into next year, I trust Fitt on every position BUT the OLINE. I really hope I'm wrong!

I think center is the biggest need because Paradis is throwing everything off and everyone has to compensate for it.

That line it's hard to tell who's the worst. They are all bad besides Moton. Either way Paradis is a perfect example of why you really have to draft a line. We did halfway well with drafting Moton, Norwell, and Turner. Unfortunately because we had a crap GM we didn't retain the right guy and drafted horribly after. Either way I would like to see Brown and hopefully Christensen next year.

FA isn't really a great place to find OLINE talent these days. You have to draft it. Erving hasn't been horrible but we definitely can't sit with him as LT next year.

Yep, throw in Paradis for a ham and cheese sandwich.  With inflation at the grocery store no team will take that offer.  Who am I kidding?

Paradis getting blown up and giving up on the first possession of a sack was so embarrassing. He looked like a fool.

for those saying Donte could be the odd man out, I'd say your right.   If Henderson shows he's a starter by the end of the year, it just won't work out for Donte with the Panthers.  No way he wants to be the 3rd CB when he can easily get starter money from another team.  The way he's been tackling this year will get him that.

The trade deadline is Nov. 2.  Panthers have a good chance to be 7-1 or 6-2 so that complicates things.  If we think we have a playoff team we'd probably keep him and just let him walk at the end of the year with no return.

If Sam gets injured, or CMC re-injured, it may be best to go ahead and get a good player or pick now.  If he walks, we'll get a 3rd round comp pick, , but not till 2023, and we need a pick in this years draft.  Can't see us getting a second considering his upcoming contract, but I could easily see a team with cap space sending a 3rd.

Or.....someone could give us a starting quality OLineman that can start fitting in immediately (and protecting our QB).
