Positives from today

- DJ Moore is a stud

- Darnold made some great plays today.  I couldn't really tell what happened on the INTs, but those misses deep to Moore in the 1st and Anderson in the 3rd or 4th stung.  He's gotta hit those in the future.  And he will.  The way he avoided pressure in the 1st half was beautiful to watch

- Brian Burns looked as good as usual.

- I thought the DBs played well.  Donte got called for a BS PI.  Henderson had good coverage on the TD.  We shut-down CeeDee.  Cowboys did a good job scheming guys open though.

- Chuba had some good burst.  His vision sucks though.

Darnold played well in stretches but missed some plays and obviously the ints.  I am very encouraged we didn't play anywhere near our A game and only lost by 8 on the road.

Only lost by 8 because of Sam as well.

He missed some plays but made some plays.    You can't ignore one aspect in order to make a point.

Yeah he had the INTs but he showed he could bounce back from that.

In fact, if you think about it :   He basically got those 14 points off those INTs right back in the 4th and had our "D" one big stop away from a golden opportunity...

Lemons to lemonade, Dallas exposed a defensive weakness. Now Snow knows and hopefully the next time someone brings in extra blockers and power runs against us we'll have a solution for it. Are guys are fast, not powerful so they'll need a scheme for that.

They were also running a hurry up offense that didn't allow for substantial changes on D. It was a good game plan that paid off.

Liked that the offense didn't collapse and kept fighting. Old Panthers teams get blown out by more than 8 in games like this. Have to shore up that 3rd Quarter. That is100% coaching and there is no two ways about it. Can't keep coming out flat like that.

    • I'm not to sure it's a solid argument to try to estimate what he will do this season, BUT he's had a solid 3 years in the league. Here's his numbers compared to Jewell's for the same time period. I can see the logic of getting a starting MLB for a (at best) WR4. AT, XL and Tmac are certainly our top 3 guys IN 2025. Certainly worth pondering.
    • Training camp just started and it's already starting... https://www.facebook.com/reel/24277303321904901/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v LOL No one believes you and you have fan pages sharing this with a "Play him or trade him" headline. Oh wee mayne. This is why no front offices wanted any part of this.
    • Honestly, it only makes sense if you're trying to chase being the best bad team you can be this year. The number one question we need answered this season is whether or not Bryce is our long-term franchise QB. Trading away a second year WR who was second on the team in catch percentage, first in yards per target, and who clearly outplayed your 1st round pick for a likely one year rental fill in LB is exactly the type of short sighted desperation moves that has made us the worst franchise in the league under Tepper. We gotta stop making these types of moves and just focus on building a good organization and a good roster. Lloyd is a JAG LB another bad team and awful defense is wavering on and a couple of Panthers fans are salivating over him. Oof. We just need to be patient and wait. Definitely make some calls around the league to teams deep at LB and see if there's an opportunity to add one for a late round pick. Definitely shop the waiver wire hard. The reality is that LB is almost certainly going to be a weakness for us this year. We weren't fixing our entire roster in one off-season and we're not fixing an overall weak positional group in late July.  If you trade for Lloyd LB is still a weakness and you've given up a young promising WR who could potentially help you answer the question of whether or not Bryce is that guy. That's bad football business.
