I don't think we're fixing this oline through one draft maybe a C but as bottom as it is now it may be 2023 before we finally get it anywhere near what it needs to be. Hey we love our defense but this is what happens when you spend an entire draft on one side of the ball while your oline deteriorates.

The past regime also plays a contributing part to this, some people seem to forget just how awful our defense was before that draft up to now. If they can do that to virtually an entire defense I have faith they can at least put a capable line out there, doesn't even have to be world-breaking, just good enough to get the job done. Although like you said will take more than one draft but hopefully not as long as it's taken with Hurney/Gettleman.

This is true. The Greg Little miss really bit us in the ass. If we get the right ol that year we are in much better position. But the new gm's don't ever inherit a stellar roster out of the gate so we should have been a little more proactive with our oline selections this year. But instead we coasted and now both of the linemen we brought in are hurt and we had no fallback for Paradis who has been on a decline since leaving Denver.

Is there a site that list  dropped passes by receivers and team ?   We had a lot of passes that hit receivers in the hands, that were dropped.

Add that to the 3 interceptions, and bad O line,  and well,,  the offense is really struggling .   Not just the O line.  Not just the 3rd Qtr ..  There's plenty of film on us now and weaknesses and adjustments at half time by the opposing teams, are showing up big time.

BTW,,  the O line is horrible.

It's bad when the guy playing out of position and the rookie making his first start are double and tripling up the grades of our "veteran" interior linemen.

These grades are so bad it honestly makes no sense to me.

Rhule is not a dumb guy, there's no way him and his coaching staff does not see the awfulness that we do.

Real question is why is he choosing to play these players when they are not the best players for these positions.

Funny thing about that.  We have priors for doing exactly this.

The first game of 2014, our starting OL was:  Bell, Velasco, Kalil (the good one), Silatolu, Chandler.

The first game of 2015 our starting OL was:  Oher, Norwell, Kalil, Turner, Remmers.

That exact progression there was the entire genesis of the infamous Rivera "The answer may be on the roster".  Norwell, Turner and Remmers were all on the 2014 roster, they just didn't begin the year on the field.

Likewise, consider how our ENTIRE defense changed in one offseason - the famous Rhule all defense draft.

Yes, it's painful to be where we are right now, but this is typical Panthers fan reaction when a season starts with some success.  We overreact.

This season was never our season.  Not sure why we can't square with that.  This was / is supposed to be our transition year.  Settling in with the Rhule system and becoming that team that might not quite be there, but no one really wants to play in December.

We're also still sitting on 42 million in dead cap.  We just didn't have the money to go get what we needed.  Doesn't matter who is to blame for getting us to that point, the fact is it's 42 million we couldn't spend on the team we're fielding this year.

Next season, if we're still in dire straits on the OLine, it's very fair to question the staff / front office.

Could try putting up sign posts saying "QB this way" but have the arrow pointing opposite the QB to see if that works.

I never said our line was good...

Yes, it is insane that this is what we have to deal with for the rest of the year.

But Fitterer even said teams don't want to trade their lineman, even backups.

Gotta continue to build through the draft, use cap space to their advantage (but wisely) and give the younger guys more opportunities.

Then perhaps, they might have used their first two draft picks on the weakest part of the team

this coach has neglected the oline since he got here.  He should not be blaming others and the defense  for his own refusal to address  it

much less blaming the defense for Sunday’s  Outcome

playing against the number 31 defense against the run might have been a good opportunity to just go heavy and run the ball

not to worry, Christian will be back to save the day with his quickness against the Vikings until the next injury

if Christian isn’t out there Sunday, a whole lot more is going on besides a .5 hamstring strain
