While we're still paying Teddy, and stuck with Darnold's contract for another year, on top of the draft picks lost, we're going to trade away more draft picks for a QB we're not even sure the league will allow to play for the foreseeable future?

Yes we are, billionaires win by taking chances

https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2020/12/03/robert-kraft-prostitution-sting/

"Orchids of Asia was one of 10 businesses targeted in Florida by prosecutors and various law enforcement agencies, an effort they initially claimed was made to find victims of human trafficking. But after Kraft was arrested and the investigation was thrust into the national spotlight, that claim fell apart. Aronberg would tell a judge in Kraft’s case that investigators had found no evidence of human trafficking."

Thanks for a legit source, but I have to wonder out of 10 business targeted, why Kraft went unscathed. It could be the ladies were prostitutes of their own free will, or it could be money and power made it seem so?

No, billionaires win by having almost unlimited chances to take.

You think guys like Tepper, Gates, Musk, Bezos, and Zuck sustain their money by getting lucky and hitting it big once?

No. They sustain their money because they can take endless amount of risks, because they have endless amounts of money.

The NFL isn't like that. The Panthers have a finite cap and a finite amount of draft picks. They're not billionaires in a sea of minnows. It doesn't work like that here.

It will be brought up over and over again so people do remember. You cannot defend this move morally and the media and local/national advocacy groups will pound the panthers until Watson is gone.

Get ready for a ton of bad press and protests at every game.

I don’t even think that this is as bad as Vick and the dogs. People love animals more than people.

Yup and if I'm the Texans I'd happily keep Tyrod for another $5 mill next year. I can't imagine a scenario where anyone would want Darnold on a one year $18 million deal

Frankly, can we just trade them a 2023 first and Darnold for Tyrod? He’s basically PJ, except, you know, good.

Really?  This could be the 'take the cake' take of the day.  In the 90's social media was in it's infancy and women wearing jeans to work on Friday's was acceptable.  Now calling a dude in a dress sir can get you fired from your job, de-platformed and could have possible criminal charges pressed in certain areas.  But yeah, things are waaaaay more chill and care-free now than in the 90's.

You’re right but that’s not what I’m saying. We’ve seen players get 2nd and 3rd chances. If not more. It won’t stop. NFL and fans, the people just don’t want to see that player who committed the crime play again for the same team. Everyone is okay if he goes and play for a different team.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
