I'm happy for PJ that he's able to cash some NFL checks for himself, but he's atrocious and he's not an NFL roster caliber QB and that's why he's never made an NFL roster until his college coach got an NFL job.

Basically this… is PJ exciting?  Hell yeah, he can make anything happen on any given play, but damn.  He’s simply not an NFL-caliber player at QB and I’m not sure what more people expect from an XFL standout

Read option is the only thing PJ adds to the offense.  His decision making and accuracy, however, is terrible.

Or Siemian, even the Cowboys backup looks like an average run of the mill game manager. I'm still wondering even after the run game was working, why every pass play we call has safeties head hunting the receivers? Like already in position to maul the guys. Still dunno if the run game was masking Sam's decisions or Brady's limited pass routes

I feel like I remember the accuracy being good he just forces the ball into wherever he wants.

I was listening on the radio when he tried to throw the red zone pick and they were flabbergasted, must have looked terrible on TV.

It was horrible. Literally could have thrown it away, took the sack, or tried to run and instead tried to cram it between a bunch of Falcons.

    • I wonder if they'd consider trading Rasheed Walker to a team that needs tackle help but missed out in the draft?
    • LOL. This is such a Panthers fan take.  Anyone who falls to us must suck because some other team didn't take them before.  We got lucky with Lemon, Thieneman, and Freeling all falling to us (honestly any of the three is a A+) but the WR and S positions are much deeper than the LT position in this draft.  We got the LT w/ the most upside at 19.  Mauigoa played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the nfl.  Spano played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the NFL due to short arms.  Blake Miller played RT in college and is not as good as Freeling.  Proctor is a true LT but his ability to handle quick edge's worries me (see Icky).  Freeling is a true LT and a gifted pass protector.  Many think he has a very high ceiling and will benefit from not having to start right away.  This is how you build a franchise.
    • After watching Cam get killed for years behind a bad Oline and having to watch the 2021 and 2023 Olines I will never complain about this team putting resources into that spot.  We got a true LT who could really push Rasheed Walker for the day 1 job. Go back and watch Iceky's draft profile from 2022 and all the talk was Ickey would be an all-pro guard in a zone blocking scheme, but he could play LT in a gap power run scheme. That's why Ickey looked really good when Wilks took over and we just started running gap run plays and just mauled people up front but under Canales we've been more of a zone running team. Ickey can survive at LT with his pass blocking but his true strength will always be his ability to just move guys in the run game and that's a skill set that's better used at guard.  Take another OT later on day 3 to learn from Moton to take over RT in a couple of years and let Walker and Freeling battle it out for the day 1 LT job then next offseason trade one of Hunt of Lewis and let Ickey move inside to guard.
