PJ is atrocious i do not understand the infatuation with him on this board

pretty sure he closes his eyes before he throws

Reality is…almost no one is actually infatuated with PJ Walker.

but Sam Darnold really sucks at playing QB and we have limited options to express that thanks to Matt Rhule.

Darnold may suck, but he gives us a better chance to win than PJ does, even if that’s a low chance.

It’s fine if some don’t believe that based off of a Lions game and XFL games but you all will see soon enough.

The odds both provide are pretty dang poor.

And in large part I only support PJ starting because I think that outcome has highest odds of forcing this staff to move on from both.   Both are pointless to me.  Just a wasted season with two guys that offer nothing big picture.   And I don’t want any part of that rolling into next season.  I want clean house in the QB room.   Actually have potential or competency occupying the spots.

Bill Belicheck destroys rookie QBs. I know PJ is not technically a rookie, but he's had very few live game reps. Plus, Bill will see from the Falcons game that we are playing Foxball (run the ball, play good defense). He'll have the box loaded and dare PJ to beat him. I don't anticipate that will end well for us.

After today, PJs career completion % in the NFL is under 50%

Sam Darnold completion percentage was 54.16% vs the Falcons, and alot of his supporters were ready to throw a parade for that performance.

Not saying PJ is going to be great, but the drop off people keep mentioning is vastly being exaggerated.

Darnold was able to extend drives against mostly with his legs, PJ can duplicate that type of game. We scored 19 points against the Falcon's bad defense. Our offense is pedestrian no matter who is under center, Sam or PJ.

we have one person who posts here (and whose account i keep deleting but he keeps coming back for more) who is enamored with him. anyone within even a glimmer of curiosity about him...i think that went away when he actually got behind center.

even that one person who keeps creating accounts went from 10 accounts a day to 5 in the last week after PJ got under center.

It's only like 4 people who have rediculous standpoints...if that

I support him because he's a Panther regardless

    • I read that Pittsburgh is a possibility.  I think of college QB studs who had some form of mental quirk yet tons of talent--but their issue made being a team leader difficult and it led to their demise--going back:  Jamarcus Russell, Art Schlichter, Jeff George, etc. I think people forget that the QB must not only have talent, but they must lead.
    • I wish I knew more details, but the NIL money to 20-year olds combined with easy access to gambling sites is a side effect that these kids may not have considered.  To your point,A famous 2009 Sports Illustrated article titled “How (and Why) Athletes Go Broke” estimated that 78% of retired NFL players go bankrupt or face significant financial stress within two years of leaving the league.  I am guessing that ego and $$$ and the thrill of competition (most pro athletes love competition because they are the winners) makes it a powerful temptation.  Throw in the ease of gambling on your phone which is always in your hand, and I see your point x 10.
    • Freeling got some reps at RT when they gave Moton a rest day--I sorta hope Freeling gets brought along slowly as you describe.  It would be better for him for reasons you provide.  We have a really good problem.
