Who says that Cam wants to be a 3 game rental which is all it would be. No he still thinks he is a starter which is why he is unsigned. He isn't good enough to be a starter but doesn't want to be a temporary fix which is all he would be at this point.

Signing Cam would not fill the stadium for the rest of the season. The stadium wasn't full Cam's last couple seasons when the team was losing badly and they're not going to come back to watch him lose with now. Current Cam also wouldn't take this team anywhere.

I want Cam back as much as the next guy but Sams probably only going to be out 1 game. They're not gonna bring a guy in just for that.

God this is so stupid. Cam's career in Carolina, and maybe in general, is over. He's done as an effective player. No one wants to see him limp around and throw 20 balls per game into the dirt. It would be a sad end to a bright career.
