The odds are not in his favor for sure.  Fairytale endings are rare in life and even rarer in football.

I hope Panther fans that are geting on  a present super high, will not  come crashing down to earth to hard  if Cam is not the saviour they expect him to be.

Sam seems like a terrible backup because all he does is make mistakes.  I'd rather have a boring, safer veteran on the bench.

Most backups - at least those with good physical tools - make mistakes when pressed into long term action, tho. That's a big reason they're backups and not permanent starters.

The common theme will be that it's everyone's fault but Cams if he doesn't work out.  It's already bringing out the bigots to shout down anyone with a different view of the situation.

Apparently turned down offers from the Texans and Seattle, def understand why Seattle but smart for him waiting out and avoiding the Texans, we’re a better fit for obvious reasons but surprised he didn’t sign with them first chance

It's an obvious garbage report from a useless "beat writer." Bad information. What teams are signing anyone, let alone QBs, without having them in-person for a workout and physical? Ridiculous.

The Panthers are not winning a championship this year no matter who is quarterback. You are delusional.

Then he shouldn't be here because he is 96% unlikely to give us a ring in the next 5 years.

I don't care about making the playoffs this year.

So might as well find the answer.

This is purely a PR move not a football move.

It's stupid.

    • Apparently CSW lost his starting job to Thornton last year. If he can stay healthy I bet Thornton keeps that NB position.
    • I member him staying after practices with only to see he was wearing heavy weight vest, one of his trademarks. He also put in 10 years, right? People forget he was the ST stud that called the snap and made sure everyone lined up right. He was one of the "glue" guys that bought his "lunch pail" to work.... He was a willing solider, all teams need a couple of them. He blocked for sooo many panthers RBs- Davis, lane, Williams, foster, goings and when there was huge injuries he took over the starter duties and had a couple 100 yard games. If you followed hoover, he took the perfect RB path cause he was just a slow heavy one himself....
    • Walker likely depends on a couple of things. What exactly did Dan promise him, to start with.  How much other interest he actually had for a starter job at high pay is another question. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could stay on as a swing tackle waiting to take Moton’s spot when it opens.    I can’t get myself to consider Icky as a viable anything until we see him back on the field.     Hunt seems to be a team player and good guy but I don’t think he is worth what he is being paid. I have him tentatively earmarked for cap causality in the near future.
