Opinions: what prompted the Cam signing

Was it the state of the QB situation? Was it the fan base jumping ship? Did Tepper over ride Rhule and make the decision?

What is your gut feelings on this? After getting fleeced by the Jets, they are back to square one. The photo of Cam and Tepper is something else (like best buddies.)

Don't  see Rhule anywhere around. What do u think was the motivation to do this?

Probably an unpopular opinion but I’m guessing asses in seats was the real final reason for Tepper. You saw how people reacted here. Tepper needs some kind of business boost. 
 

Rhule also was definitely sat down by Tepper and Fitts this week. You could tell by his media time. “The FO is exploring all options, it’s my job to get this team ready for next week as a coach” lines he was throwing out. Tepper took away full control from him, that’s pretty obvious now.

The panthers social media team is all over this board and lurks all other platforms. The response to get Cam back was overwhelming and they reported back to base that all the fans were checking out for the year.

Yep.  He would have lost a lot more than 10mil in revenue from an empty stadium the rest of the year. Now he has the Panthers on every major sports news site, page 1.

Tepper for sure.

Like its not really an opinion for real. Tepper sees the stadium and at minimum is like na fug that we had star power before and now the seats are empty. Gotta give them credit though, they swallowed their pride and will have to take it on the chin so w/e. Move on forward and bygones be bygones.

we sucked and the fanbase was bleeding. great combination of financial/football decision. also intangible legacy move
