Rhule plans to rotate QBs like RBs

Literally said it on a radio interview on Sirius XM that he looks at the QB position and rotation like he does with RBs. I expect this may be the new “normal” for the remainder of the season. PJ may come in instead of Cam based on certain defensive looks or packages.

Lol someone literally made a thread after last week that they were worried Rhule would get too cute with the QBs and here we are. Feels like a decision that will make or break him

That's one way to extend the life of Cams shoulder.

It's not ideal, but it could work...for a while anyways. 

Part of me thinks it will make it harder for defenses to scheme against, but it could also make it easier depending on how it was done.

This is a good plan. Most of the time you can’t do this bc of QB ego. Neither of these QBs are in any position to demand snaps at this point. Maybe by year end…but if you can do it and get away with it then do it.

I’m fine with it until cam gets up to speed. But once he gets it down he needs to be the starter.

Load management may be the only way we can get Cam through a full NFL season at this point in his career, and it's going to take an unprecedented coaching approach because of his unique skillset. If this works out extension talk is going to get interesting.

Are we talking normal NFL RB subs or the Panthers?

If we go the Panthers route I’d say we’re looking at around 95% of the snaps for Cam and the other 5% for PJ.

Seriously when McCaffrey is healthy, when was the last time they’ve employed a regular RB workload split?

NO does it with some success with Hill.... I think it could derail any rhythm a QB may develop during a game.

In all seriousness I hate this idea. Maybe we are okay to do it for this game, but this should not be the move going forward.

Worked really well against one of the best football teams in the league last week. I’m not against it. Keyshawn Johnson shared that it will take Cam about 4 weeks total to get the full playbook down, and thats ambitious.
