Yeah time to rebuild. Love CMC but he needs to go to a competent coaching staff that’s not going to run him into a wall every game.

You understand what the job of a RB is, right?

He's had less than 150 rushes in the last two years - he's been on IR 3 times in that period and played 10 games out of a possible 33.

He's fragile at this point.

At the end of the 2021 season the Panthers will have played 81 football games.

McCaffrey will have played in 52 of those 81 (64%). He's beginning to approach Dan Morgan-like numbers. Morgan, if you'll recall, played in 59 of the 112 games (53%) on Carolina's schedule over his 7-year stint with the Panthers.

To his credit, though, Morgan played in all 7 post-season games in 2003 and 2005.

Move him to wr next year or trade him for peanuts or whatever you have to do to try and get out of that contract.

this organization has to be better or I’ll stop watching very soon.

As a fan it hurts but this is the only answer moving forward. We need to build a semblance of a real nfl oline ASAP by any means necessary and we can't have contracts like that around our necks. Also it needs to be said: Do not draft an rb in the top 10.

    • Completely agreed.  TBH, we have had so many great players that are in my favorite list, and I hate to narrow it down to one, but Cam is it.  Which is crazy, because you would think it would be more of the guys I grew up watching, but no.  Cam was the single most impactful player to ever out on a football uniform imo.  And like I said in an earlier post, I always felt a kinship with him in a lot of ways…  the way he was treated and judged for the off the field stuff in Florida and having to overcome all of that and fight show at back.  And although I am not a black man, I have always been welcomed by and accepted more by minorities, and thus, I know what it’s like to be judged by appearances rather than the content of your character and who you actually are.  I know what it’s like to be stereotyped and written off or mistreated for your mistakes.  I know what it’s like to be held to a different standard while your peers don’t have to meet that same standard.  So I always related to that.  And the way he came in and just electrified the whole franchise, man…  I still think about it often how much it sucks that because of how talented he was, our staff out so much on him and that ultimately cut his career short.  You’re right, there will never be another Cam…  I think Josh Allen is the closest thing we will see for a long time, but Allen is not the running threat Cam was.  Cam could run you over or around you.  That was THE absolute funnest time to watch our team ever.
    • It definitely needs more specificity than is baked in now.
    • The weirdest encounter I had with a pro athlete was waiting in line at security at Mile High Stadium when I used to get the company suite tickets almost every week because I was the only employee based in Colorado. There's a small checkpoint accessing the suites that virtually no one knows about that you can usually squirt right through. I was standing there and looked over my shoulder and there stands John fuging Elway waiting in line behind me.  This was during the The Golden Calf of Bristol season right before he became GM. I just said "They make YOU go through security?" He's like "Yeah, ain't that a bitch. I literally have a statue out front and I gotta go through security like everybody else." I've heard mixed things about him but he was super nice and down to earth with me that day.
