My interest in this team is at an all time low

I respect that feeling, OP. I'm picking a new team next year unless Rhule gets fired. There's absolutely no reason whatsoever to support this reeling pile of garbage. There's no heart, energy, intelligence, strategy or talent.

Let me guess the Cowboys amarite?

Same Ricky, same.  And I pie'd CRA initially bc I agreed with everything except getting a new GM.  The coaching staff has to go, but I believe in Fitterer.  I'm 100% on board with this front office and scouting dept.  The coaching staff from top to bottom has to gtfoh yesterday.

Head coach has final say in roster decisions, blames GM with hardly any power. Panthers fans in a nutshell

I mean it was the QB at first not the OC when the offense clearly sucked and has been read like a book. Now defenses are doing reruns on it

I am not a fair weather fan, I will always root for this team, but I just can't invest the time or money into a franchise striving for incompetence like the Panthers seem to be.

A heartfelt post.  I read the whole thing and agree with most of it.  I try to make a game per year but the last 2 seasons have been unobtainable for various reasons.  Hopefully I'll make one next year.  I understand the disappointment in this team when you smack down close to 400 dollars per game and they are playing as they are.  It will be hard for me to go to a game next year because of the passing of Robin.  She and I were friends and I would purchase a seat through her.  Sometimes I would sit with her at the game.  Enough of that.

You made a great post.

The last few years I've found myself having more fun watching college football than the NFL.  For a long time I was an adherent to the notion that pro football was superior due to the higher overall skill level of the players and schematic complexity, but none of that matters if my favorite team is just a drag to watch.

I don’t see why people believe Fitterer is anything more than another bad hire by Tepper.  Tepper has been pretty consistent with everyone he has brought in.

I just don’t get a guy that picked up Sam’s 5th year, traded away all our draft picks, etc….is the guy with the right vision to lead us.   And if you blame that all on Rhule? It still doesn’t speak much about our GM.  He watched it all happen and signed off.

Agreed. My Panthers fandom began with the drafting of Julius Peppers. The Panthers were always the local team and I had casual interest as such but it wasn't like I grew up a Panthers fan or in a Panthers household. There was just nothing more than local proximity to draw me to the team and that wasn't enough. I was just a general NFL fan who had favorite players more so than favorite teams. Then we drafted Julius Peppers and this big Tar Heel fan became a big Panthers fan overnight.

Meanwhile, the Panthers have changed ownership and become an utter trainwreck. If Rhule is retained it's not out of the question that I could get lured away to whatever Sam Howell's ultimate destination is. I would be at least as interested in following that team as I am this current iteration of the Panthers.

Just being honest. 😞

This season has been the worst roller coaster ride ever.

Started off feeling great and that lasted a few games then I plummeted into the depths of blah and felt nothing.

Then Cam came back and with it all the feels and excitement....but then the last two weeks happened and now...you know, I just don't care.

We suck. We suck. We suck. We suck.

Season 7 Work GIF by Shameless

Wake me up when we've got a coaching staff that knows the hell what they're doing.
