I don't understand the Darnold hatred. I really don't. He ain't it, but he's at least as good a passer as Cam right now. Cam just offers more with his legs.

Rhule needs to decide who is playing now. If it's Cam, Darnold sits all game. If it's Darnold, you can bring Cam in inside the 10 on 2nd-4th downs or on short 3rd downs.

It worked with PJ and Cam. Why just doesn’t work with Sam and Cam

Was dumb then too just necessary with Cam new to the offense. This is completely unnecessary. I'd get maybe bringing Cam in for short sneaks but they're abitrarily switching them and preventing any momentum.

I want to establish I am not a fan of either QB.    But, why put Cam in after the long pass play.   Is it to give himself a Superman moment.  Defense knew he was running from the 10.  Then, he could not get it in.   So, they put Sam in for 1 play.   Would not give him 3 plays.   Defense knew a pass was coming.   So, we had no chance to score.  Setting up both QBs to fail.

Looking for logic from a team playing a two quarterback system is probably a fruitless effort.

I think it's because they want to run the ball there and make sure they get points in a one possession game.

For better or worse, Cam is our best RB.

Gilmore knows he can't run step for step with Brown so he's bailing early.

Hes been in ok position if he doesnt open his hips to the inside though.  I'm not sure if he thinks hes seeing something and reading it wrong or if hes that scared of getting beat deep so hes giving up the sideline to cheat so theres no yac to the inside.

    • Obviously the new FO has only been in charge for a couple years but they have not broken from past trends.
    • Rookie Bryce: Mingo, Thielen, DJ Chark as his WRs ...we won 2 games.  2nd Year Bryce: XL is drafted and becomes Bryce's #1 target in 24...we won 5 games (kinda suprising tho) 3rd Year Bryce: Tmac is drafted and becomes Bryce's #1 with Coker in the mix in '25.. we managed to win the division and make the playoffs. ..8 wins 4th Year Bryce: TBD ..... but we do need another reliable option at the position. Maybe not at 19 (unless its Cooper or Lemon) but somewhere within the top 100.   We are one injury away from reverting back to 23-24 status or worse. And if we dont happen to get substantial gains after this draft atleast we'll have the offense in a great spot to drop in our future QB.  Tmac, Coker, Leggette, Horn Jr, Metchie. I'd be willing to rock with the above but they could def stand an upgrade. An argument could be made at TE too.
    • You're also underestimating Calipari in those scenarios. Calipari can say to a kid "I've put more impactful players into the NBA than any school over the last 20 years".  Michael Malone can tout that he was run out of the NBA for not understanding impactful players.  I wouldn't count any chickens yet on top recruiting classes and deep tournament runs.  On a side note, can't remember where, but saw some interview where the guy was saying the NBA All Star Game should be the USA vs World vs Kentucky - and then proceeded to list the players in the league from Kentucky who would legit give an All Star team a run for their money.  Pretty impressive what Cal did at Kentucky, not impressive on him not getting more nattys.
