Reddit user says he has an “uncle that works for the team” and Rhule will be fired

People go on Reddit and make random predictions for clout all the time.  A few years back some guy showed up on the Seahawks subreddit and said he had inside sources that they were going to trade for some guy.  Lo and behold they did and that board hung on that poster's every word for a few weeks.

Later it turned out he was a troll who had just made a lucky guess and was just fuging with them.

I’ve seen message board stuff that calls their shot and I’ve seen message board stuff that wasn’t even close. Message board rumors should always be taken with a grain of salt but I just wonder why a person who apparently has no rooting interest in the team would post something like that. It’s not like he wins a prize for being right.

Pretty sure Tepper is an analytical freak. Tendencies, averages, data trends, etc..

Unless we get turn into an entire poo show the next two games, Rhule will get his third year.

Just based off Tepper's previous words and why we brought him here: his prior record as a coach per year...specifically year 3 turning around an org. At minimum he'll get half a season. That and the fact that the world seems to think we have the #2 defense in the league will keep him halfway safe.

That's just how I see it playing out ...the only problem is we're trending down. And the team doesn't seem to fully buy in to the "process" from my perspective anyway. Also, the double qb move has and continues to make us the laughing stock of the league and too much negative or embarrassing media could call off all bets. This is his product at the end of the day. I just dont see Tepper moving forward just yet though...but I wouldn't be shocked or opposed if the opposite happens.

    • not sure if any of this is news, but a good summary of our situation heading into training camp.  It's sure gonna be good getting Derrick back. After missing virtually all of the 2024 season, Panthers defensive tackle Derrick Brown is aiming for a full return to the field during training camp later this summer, per Joseph Person of The Athletic. Brown tore his meniscus in Week 1 and underwent season-ending surgery that has kept him limited through spring practices, though he did participate in “walk-throughs and light side work” during mandatory minicamp, according to Person. Brown originally stated a desire to be ready for the 2025 regular season, but his timeline appears to have moved up. Brown’s injury was particularly disappointing after a career-best 2023 season. He led all defensive linemen with 103 total tackles and was named to his first Pro Bowl, earning him a four-year, $96MM extension from the Panthers in April 2024. While he has never been a prolific pass rusher, Brown’s size and power has consistently commanded double-teams and created opportunities for his teammates. His impact was evident last season, as Carolina’s run defense ranked dead-last in his absence. The Panthers spent significant resources this offseason on defensive line depth, which should allow them to manage Brown’s usage more carefully coming off a major injury. He played a whopping 940 defensive snaps in 2023 (89% of the team’s total) and was on the field for almost every play before his injury last year. With new teammates Tershawn Wharton, Bobby Brown III, and Cam Jackson ready to share the load, Derrick Brown can take a lower snap share to stay fresh and healthy for the entire season. Here are a few updates on other Panthers returning from injuries:     https://www.profootballrumors.com/2025/06/panthers-injury-updates-brown-tremble-barno-wallace
    • Yeah it's kind of like they don't want him on the team anymore for some reason
