Tommy Tremble?

I was kind of hyped when we drafted Tremble. I saw him as a versatile weapon and thought he'd play in the backfield, inline and flexed out. I think we under utilized him especially coming out of the backfield. For some reason Giovanni Rici was turned into our FB and I can't remember him being too effective in that role.

With Thomas leaving in Free Agency that will leave Tremble as our undisputed #1 option at TE, pending whoever comes in as a FA or via the draft for the 2022 season.

What do you guy guys think about that? Do you guys think Tremble will work out? Or will he be a bust?

I honestly feel like no players other than oline and Dline can be properly evaluated under rhule. It seems like every player was under utilized or used incorrectly

Without a coach he’s going to look like poo along with the rest of them.

Tremble was definitely underutilized.  He showed better hands than many thought pre-draft and is a good blocker.  The Ricci thing is strange, but then again this is the coach putting John Miller in the game every week.  He has a lot of potential and flashed whenever he was able.  I’m very high on Tommy T

I think as he develops into a pass catcher, he will be awesome on some fly/trap stuff, as a edge setter, and threat in the offense. More versatile than Ian.

2 of his first 3 plays were TDs, the other was like a 40 yard grab.  So they went ahead and stopped using him.  Checks out.  

I really like what he brings but his utilization after we were eliminated made zero sense.  Just like Marshall, Shi, Brady C, & Deonte.  Very strange how little faith this staff had in their own handpicked rookie class.

TEs usually take about 3 years to get up to speed in the NFL. One of, if not the, hardest positions to play in the NFL.

I honestly have no idea how good any of our rookies actually are due to the ineptitude of the coaching staff.

He could be great but we wouldn't know because by the time he's open he'd have DT's and DE's right in the QB's face for a sack

Can't really judge a thing on offense if line is constantly blown up. Why it's dumb to say Cam's done.

He was a good pick but Brady really didn't use TEs other than blocking and gadgets.

The team drafted this rookie class and then made them essentially red shirt, except maybe BC, who they played some because of injuries in front of him 

Build through the draft they said - but then don’t play the guys they draft. Makes perfect sense.

I don't want to give any hope to anything until we have better people in charge. This crew hasn't put people in the best spots to succeed so Tommy could still become a beast for sure.

Thought he showed plenty of ability and promise, like a more dynamic Jeff King; quality blocker, reliable hands, just finds ways to get open. Hopefully whoever runs the show next can maximize his blocking and receiving talents
