70% He's coaching the Cowboys next season

29% He's on TV for a year then coaching the Cowboys in 2023

1% The Raiders throw a ridiculous 100M/6 year contract and he's coaching the Raiders

1%% He takes a year off and really looks at opportunities closely. Anything he would do now he could do in a year. I don’t see him coaching again in the NFL South unless he returns to New Orleans.

Under Payton's watch, the Saints were always considered to be contenders, and even fought until the end of their first season without Brees before being eliminated from postseason contention with a 9-8 record.

With a rebuild possible and uncertainty guaranteed under center, Payton isn't sticking around for the changes.

Filling his shoes will be incredibly difficult for general manager Mickey Loomis, who hasn't had to hire a full-time head coach since firing Jim Haslett after the 2005 season.

    • Yeah, like I said I get it. From a revenue perspective I'm not a good customer for them. They've probably intentionally tanked offline franchise mode to try to get people online. Again, not a terrible strategy from a pure business perspective. I can't really be mad at them for doing what's good for business but yeah, from my perspective it still sucks.
    • Ok let me be more specific. Smith was a stud before Newton got here do you not agree? Yes, LaFell improved under Cam but then had his best years after leaving the Panthers with Cam as the QB and going to NE. So he improved playing with someone else. Olsen was in Chicage the year before Cam arrived and statistically had the same numbers his first year with Cam.  Hope that's clearer for you.
    • He was here for the 24 draft and bragging about the pick people dislike the most. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2024/06/17/panthers-brandt-tillis-jonathon-brooks-2024-nfl-draft/74132284007/   "There were a few players on the board who we liked. Brooks was by far a (or our) number one guy"
