Don't think it's happening. I am of the opinion Dolphins' owner Stephen Ross is wrapped up in all of this knotted up mess in the NFL and college football.

I believe Stephen Ross wanted Deshaun Watson and a high round draft pick at the cost of Brain Flores' career. Ross wants Harbaugh to stay in Michigan. Harbaugh is stubborn and wants to be in Miami, so he forces Ross's hand by leveraging the Vikings. Ross won't want to lose Harbaugh. So, as the largest Michigan booster, Ross is setting up Rhule to go to Michigan if he can't convince Harbaugh to stay. If Ross cannot convince Harbaugh, then he will bring in Harbaugh as the Miami coach. Ross will pair Harbaugh and Watson together in Miami, but first Ross has to pay off all 21 women suing Watson.

Watson won't be a Panther, Harbuagh will be a Dolphin, and Rhule will be a Wolverine once Ross gets his mess sorted out. There is always a chance the NFL chooses to force Ross out of the NFL ala RIchardson. In that case, Watson will be tied up for another year in court, Rhule will remain a Panther, and Harbaugh will stay with Michigan for another season.

As the NFL Turns. Stay tuned.

It's interesting hearing what other region radio shows think might happen.

They bring out really good points that the NFCS is really up for the taking and if they have Watson that would literally would be Watsons division for years to come.

I just fear the asking price. That would really hinder this franchise a little too much if they are asking for 4+ 1st rounders.

Your franchise is hindered if you don’t have a QB. You can find good players after the 1st round and win. You cannot however win without an elite QB.

Idk what Watson’s status is with the legal stuff. But if the allegations never happened I would for sure, without question give up 3-4 1st round picks. Know why? Bc if he’s as good as everyone says he is then with our defense we’re a playoff team and drafting in the late 20s or later every year. Filterer believes there are normally 12 or so guys in a draft who are “different.” The rest could be 1st rounders, 2nd rounders, doesn’t matter. All about team fit. If you have Watson you aren’t drafting in the top 12 and that’s what matters.

Make a trade to get Watson and Tunsil. Give them four 1st round picks and call it a day. Well be the best team in the division for a decade….

Yeah, I agree. But I doubt they will want to go for 4 1sts for Watson AND Tunsil. Ship out CMC in that deal. Might get away with 3 1sts and CMC for that package.

I don't want Watson unless his legal issues are legitimately settled. If the Panthers did end up trading lets say 3 first round picks, we have a roster ready to compete right now if the offensive line is upgraded and we re-sign some of our own free agents. The Panthers would have to work some cap magic but the loss of picks wouldn't hurt the team that badly with a QB on the roster of Watson's caliber, especially with how weak the NFCS is.

You could have stopped after your first sentence and sounded a lot smarter than what you did in the rest of the post.

    • I personally think you are trying to talk yourself into circles here... It's ok to say Bryce played incredible the last 5 weeks... I know there are plenty of people on this board who desperately need the doom-and-gloom narrative, but I genuinely question how much NFL QB play some of these people really have watched when they still question him being the unquestioned starter for next year...  Again, that being said, no one is crowning him at all. I think Bryce is one of the best stories going into 2025 bc his season last year was so outlandishly unprecedented. It's totally fair to personally not believe in Bryce. Plenty of sports "journalists" need to write stories, and that's an easy narrative path... But I think that actual people in the know rank Bryce much higher. That's the fun thing about sports... we shall see!
    • Regardless of how we got here, any rational fan should be excited by how well Bryce played down the stretch. Anyone not happy about that level of play either doesn't know what they're looking at, or they're still trying to drive tired narratives. Obviously, Cam had an all-time rookie season, and I'm not putting the two in the same basket yet, but as someone who has watched every snap of Panthers football since the start of the new millennium (Im old), Bryce was playing at a higher level at the end of 2024 than Cam was at the end of 2012 (his 2nd season). Cam continued to develop into MVP form, something Bryce has to prove, but as someone who watched both (and will stan for Cam always), Bryce was playing at a higher level to end year 2 than Cam did.  Go watch the film if you dont believe me. None of that means anything for the future. But the people who said BY9 couldnt play in this league are wrong.   That being said, the only thing that matters is this year. #20 is perfectly fair IMO going into the season. I mean think about it, how would you rank him??!  His in-season turnaround is one of the wildest things I've ever seen... how do you rank a guy who looked like a massive bust in September and by January was consistently playing at a top 10 level? My excitement level is pretty damn high heading into this season. There were throws from the Chiefs game onward where Bryce had Drew Brees levels of anticipation. Im excited to see what he can do with a full deck on offense, something we really never gave Cam. Really hope and expect Bryce to move up this list this season.
    • Not really, the only QB's (other than Anthony Richardson) ranked below him are new to their teams as a placeholder starter or drafted in 2024 or 2025, not a lot of gymnastics to get there. It's not about how many that is, if it's 20, 12, or 2... It means there isn't a QB who's team has committed to them for the long term right now that they have ranked below Bryce. That's not a great thing.
