The Watson Thread - Part Deux

Some of these "visits" might be his agent trying to get Deshawn feeling better about the Panthers.  Falcons....hometown team, poo roster.  Saints...cool team in the Brees / Payton era...no money now, best player in 2021 might go to jail and Michael Thomas I guess might play in 2022?  But in the end, the agent knows Tepper will back up the Brinks truck for Watson and that is what the agent ultimately wants.  He doesn't care if Watson wins a ring, he wants his 3% of Watson's next contract.  We may have a poo coach but he will put up arcade numbers if we keep all our offensive weapons and find someone to play LT.

If he's exhausting options it's either to drive up the price or we are only his reluctant destination which would make giving up a haul for him moot as we would face an uphill battle in retaining his services down the line.

That's only true from a fans impatient perspective.   He could love option A but when there isnt really a set timeline or reason that a few extra days matter, why wouldnt you go ahead and listen to option B, C, and D as well?  What is his benefit in rushing before considering all options.  That doesnt mean he doesnt like one of his first options.

Jimmy G, went to the NFCG. Bridgewater could never.

Jimmy G threw 75 yards in the NFC champion game and was carried the entire season by his defense and running game.

He also was also the reason they lost the Super Bowl. Bridgewater with that running game and defense definitely could get to the Super Bowl.

Garoppolo and Bridgewater are the exact same kinda QB.
Maybe look at why he made it to the Super Bowl instead of giving him credit he doesn’t deserve.
Your reason for getting him is the same reason why we signed Bridgewater after he went 5-0.
Undeserved praise for something he didn’t accomplish on his own.

They keep saying that a decision is likely to come tomorrow - at least thats the prevailing theory now.  And the Houston media and the Charlotte media all believe that Carolina is the leader right now.

The only way a decision comes tomorrow is if the NFL say there will be no punishment.
