Watson is not going to the Browns with the Panthers and Saints offer still on the table. This is hardball by the Texans to the Watson camp.

I could see the Texans possibly wanting Mayfield as compensation and their starter though. I just don't see Watson ever waiving his NTC to go to the Browns since it is further away from family.

Texans should have never allowed Watson to talk to the Falcons last minute.

wut?

Did he even rule us out though? Maybe he would’ve waived for any of the 4 teams and Cleveland had the highest offer ultimately? They were “ruled out” before we were so I don’t believe any “reports” from the last week or so.

Looking more and more like had we agreed to his contract demands he could have been ours.

Thank you.

Patience everyone. Just have fun with it.

Tweets don't sign a contract. This is the Texans and Watson taking shots at each other and damaging other franchises in their wake lol.

Now can someone please confirm for me that the Panthers have taken their deal and moved on. I don't want Watson.

Bruh.  Its over. WTF are you even talking about right now?

Watson is a selfish me first player. Sat out a whole year while his team struggled, gets mad because his bosses don't consult with him, makes millions anyways, harasses women, make teams get into a bidding war for him only to change his mind last min. Browns being the Browns and giving up 3 1st round picks for him. Suspension by NFL still possible. This will be the end of Watson's career. Glad he didn't pick us.

It’s absolute insanity to pay 230 million fully guaranteed for a guy who hasn’t played in a year over sex assault lawsuits and has had two acl tears. It’s like putting your whole salary on red on roulette trying to double it

Edit: also three first round picks

    • Yes, but Bryce Young is what amplifies that concern for me for a super green HC and OC.   it’s all and marriages by Tepper IMO.  Canales and the new OC probably would have a better time getting their O running with a vet QB that is a natural fit.   again, I’m not arguing Canales and Morgan should be catering to Bryce at this point.  Just pointing out how pointless drafting Bryce looks at this stage.  And I don’t disagree you either can play or can’t and the O is irrelevant at this level.   I mean fit matters at this level.  Everyone is too talented.  Fit makes or breaks careers.
    • Excellent post, Jackie Lee.  I watched every second.
    • Yes you have said all of that as well. I was just saying having concerns about a one year OC transitioning to HC and trying to call plays like you have stated before as well implies he could be in over his head this first year. I’m not calling you out or anything. It’s a concern and I’m sure there will be some growing pains along the way. As for the Bryce thing, he is either a NFL QB or he isn’t. If he doesn’t look any better this year, then I think we simply move on and let Canales pick his guy. I think Beck has a big arm if that’s his type. Trying to build a very unique roster just to see if he can find success isn’t a good idea IMO. If he looks much better this year then sure you can cater a little more to his skillset.
