He's really no better than Sam

Oh he is definitely better than Sam Darnold. The problem is that is a low bar to hit. Is he better enough to matter? Unlikely.

I am fine getting Baker but it needs to be pretty affordable and not with a contract extension or any othet ignorant BS. A price that isn't steep and a real out if it doesn't work.

Not Teddy/Sam Contract 3.0

With the torn labrum and the 5th year option/potentially hitting FA if he plays well it's a waste of time/another gamble. Plus he's generally dislikable and I'm already sick of him from all those commercials

Y’all realize he and Sam have the exact same salary right?

The Browns, and no other team, want Sam Darnold.

We have like 20M cap space. Baker would take 18.

No.

At best I could think of a 3 way trade for us to get baker and a pick, and ship Darnold and that pick to the Texans or whoever. But why wouldn't the Texans/whoever just bypass us and send Baker directly somewhere else? If we didn't sign Sams option we could have gotten the 4th back and Baker but too late for that

    • That’s not a bad idea at all. I was really liking the whole cali-style carne asada. We might do that next week instead of enchiladas for the rams. Was planning on: Saints-Gumbo Tampa-Cuban Sandwiches Seattle- Salmon Stew Tampa- Seafood Boil
    • I agree, honestly you can not trade a player that has Balls talent. Just sitting in street clothes FOR years, it doesn't matter if you are averaging 50points on 88% with 18 rebs, 15 asst, 4 stls if you never can play. These are the worst type of players, teasers. Its HIS JOB to get his body in NBA shape and he has proven that he can not. Thus you break the rule about trading top shelf talent. Hell NBA need to have NFL contracts where the full sum isn't guaranteed, you bet your ass if his money was tied to his playing on the court he'd somehow figure out how to stay healthy.   Plus Im a old head, I member when Seth Curry in his 17(Jesus..) year career had ankle problems and guess what, he solved the issues and got all the money, championships, and fame. Ball doesn't have the same drive to figure out his body, he'd rather drive his car on kids feet while rushing home to drive his go-cart on the roof of his condo after missing his 42nd game of the season.....
