James Borrego / Matt Rhule…. Is their a worse 1-2 combo

Dude the hornets roster is straight. Good enough to get into the playoffs comfortably in the East.

They have the worst big man situations in basketball.  There are plenty of college big men right now who would straight work Plumlee.

If the roster was good enough to get into the playoffs comfortably, the Hornets wouldn't have gotten blown out by the Hawks in the play in game.

The lack of a starting caliber NBA center that can play a little defense and rebound is a huge problem. The defensive scheme and lack of defensive effort are two other huge problems. Finally, the Hornets have too many streaky players on the roster.

Hayward and Rozier are being paid like they are those consistent go to scorers or players, and neither one of them are that guy. Bridges isn't there yet despite the leaps he has taken the last couple years. Ball isn't there either. Oubre is a newer version of Bobcats era Ben Gordon. Martin is a role player and glue guy that brings some energy and hustle off the pine. Washington is inconsistent and doesn't give good effort most nights. McDaniels is meh. Harrell is another glue and hustle guy. IT was a desperation move and no where as good as he once was. Richards and Plumlee are meh too.

Jones, Bouknight, and Thor could barely crack the lineup and it's way too soon to say what they'll be as pros.

Don’t know when you stopped following the NBA but Phil Jackson has 13 rings…and never coached the Hornets…so not following the logic at all

Agree for the most part. Hornets did not play any of their rookies for experience this year just to finish as a 10th seed and get beat by 30 points in a play in game. All this just to finish 4 games over .500. What is the real gain? THERE IS NONE.

      This won't be a trap game for them. I worry more for the next time we face Atlanta. That's a death trap game if we aren't careful.

      Luckily, we've got more games ahead to watch and see what happens. Maybe he keeps growing his game, maybe we see that he's topped out when we hit stiffer competition. Or maybe he flames out against a team he should well be able to beat like the Jets this weekend. I really can't tell where all of this will end. I can say, though, there's no reason to hit the kid at the moment. Let him roll for as long as he can.  Heck, Sam Darnold is setting the league on fire right now, along with Baker Mayfield and Daniel Jones. Examples of guys mired in bad coaching on bad teams (sometimes our own) that hit their stride just as a team did. Maybe we're about to get lucky.  I do know one thing. The biggest change in a winning Bryce and a losing Bryce is that when he plays fearlessly, he is a hell of a competitor. When he gets scared, and he has so many times, it all just falls apart for him and no team can save him. Bravery makes the difference and it comes from believing in not just himself, but his line, his receivers, his running back and the play calling. Just like most young QBs. And quite a few of the old ones. Rodgers couldn't make it in the chaos of the Jets situation. He can in Pittsburgh, so it seems.
