I do wonder if Rhule was pounding the table for Pickett and was overrode, then had to slowly see no team interested until 20.

I dont think he was ever especially interested in Pickett.  I think that was all smokescreen and people hated the idea of Pickett so they wanted to believe it was true because they hate Rhule.

He also said they would be completely fine if they walked away with the first two days being Ickey and CJ Henderson - because they view him as our third round pick this year.

Henderson very well may shock people next year. He has talent like Horn.

Ppl the QB in this draft weren't good.. This has been proven over and over and over again this offseason..

Teams trading big bags for retreads.. Players like Winston, Mariota and Trubisky getting multi year deals..

Culminating with only 1 QB taken in the 1st round..

Its clear that like all the scouts was saying that this isn't a good QB class..

If we give any assets tomorrow to draft a career backup or a developmental project.. We made a mistake..

I am actually fine with staying put and waiting till the 4th because I truly do not see any QBs (except maybe Willis) getting drafted in the next two rounds. I think most teams will have a similar mindset that, given how weak this QB class is, that they could actually get better value out of the QBs later in the draft or next year.

Spending a 4th on QB is a lot less Riskier than moving up in into the 2nd and losing more draft capital.

We'll see what happens but I fully expect one of those QBs to be there by the time we pick in the 4th.

I can almost guarantee that one or more of the Corral/Ridder/Howell/Strong grouping will be there in the 4th. Only three teams are looking for a developmental QB in that range and we’re one of them. My guess is Seattle goes Malik in the 2nd and Detroit takes Ridder or Corral in the third (if they have a pick left from that trade). I think Tampa and the Giants are happy with their QB room and the Saints can’t afford to take one with their holes and money already spent. Atlanta is a possibility but they have way too many holes and like Mariota

So is Rhule like done? Just here for a year more and doing as little as possible?

Not gonna lie, seeing how he looked at the presser tonight combined with how they've tried to hide him all offseason, its really starting to look that way to me.

Either that or truly humbled by the reality that he's not what he thought he was, as made aware to him from us and the national media. Fitt seems comfortable taking the lead though
