Funny clip but also smart not to do something stupid there.

I’d venture to say a lot of OL would have gone chop block with an already engaged defender or committed some stupid penalty there looking for work.

What??? The guy was looking to jump on a pile and Mays destroyed him.. That was a totally legal block and send a message..

I’m not referencing the actual block, I’m saying I’m surprised he didn’t back track and engage with an already engaged defender. Instead he looked forward. I feel like a lot of young OL turn around and back track when they can’t find anyone to block rather than continuing to move forward. Impressive of him to scan the field and continue to the next level.

He looks like a stout, well built "Hog Molly" to me. The kind we need as a present OL backup and future starter at one of the OL positions..

Not disputing his overall size but his arms and legs look a little skinny for his upper torso.  Could be the shadows in the picture.  Or I could have had too many triple Scotchs.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
