How prepared are you for another hilariously miserable season?

Yeah, I am prepped to do a lot more laughing than being pissed off this season. I hope the broadcast crews are liberal with their cuts to Tepper in the owners box when the Keystone Cops mode gets in full gear.

I want to see that fuger squirm at what he has created for us.

All of that. There should be no place to hide left at this point. The crowds, the broadcast crews and the media can all teach Tepper why a token 3rd year was not needed for anyone with a set of eyes and a brain.

Player development is the only place I have any positive hope left at this point and even that is tampered by the reality of it all.

I get the op and every one else saying screw the Panthers it’s hard watching us when we suck but I’ll continue to go to the games and be outnumbered by the opposing teams fans. Somebody’s gotta do it so oh well I will.

I haven't decided if I want to attend games this season or not(assuming I have time anyway).

If we decide to not have Darnold start and we see Corral/Baker/Jimmy G....I might come out for a game or two.

I suspect selling tickets at face will be a lot more challenging this season.

Fully, and I expect nothing less with Rhule at the helm. Doesn't mean I don't acknowledge the possibility of some major turnaround/breakout, as that's always a possibility and would be fantastic to see, but the odds of that are pretty slim IMO even with the NFL-caliber offseason.

To summon the essence of John Fox, it is what it is. Let's get to the season and see what happens.

I want to go to a game where Corral starts. That's it. It's been 2 dead ass years under Rhule and Covid. It would be nice to laugh and chant 'Fire Rhule' for one game.

I get it and I’m in no way shaming those who choose to not watch the likely upcoming train wreck of a season just pointing out what I’ll do.

We have improved the roster and coaching staff and we are getting key guys back from injury. That should be enough to not end the year on a 2-12 streak this season.

With that said, major areas we haven’t fixed

1. QB. Those hoping for corral to be a savior are overly optimistic. He’s a third round project that they took a chance on. He might surprise us all but historical odds are highly against that. They can talk up Darnold all they want but he’s still going to make bad decision under pressure and sometimes from a clean pocket. I dont think he can lead a team to the playoffs

2. Head coach. This goes without saying. At least he’s put together a real NFL staff. If he’s coach in name only there might be some hope here.

Also the schedule is a bitch on paper this year. Both super bowl participants, the NFC west and the AFC south. Our crossover AFC game is a broncos team that will be significantly improved with Russell Wilson at QB. Games we might expect to win like Detroit and NYG are no given based on past history with this coach.

So yes, we should be better on paper and we’ve made some good coaching and personnel moves in the offseason. I still think we are too limited at QB and head coach and the schedule to win more than 7 games. However, given Tepper’s love affair with Rhule that will be enough improvement to keep him for year 4.

I just hope we know what we have in Corral by the end of the year. Would be awesome to know he's solid and if had a high pick could get a kings ransom for the QB war that will happen next draft. then get little Sewell to be MLB of the future. (my dream scenario i've built in my head already)

I'm expecting another poor season. I'm not sure if I see 5 wins on the schedule. But I'm hoping for the best. I'm hoping a new offense is what the team needed. I'm hoping we have a new QB because we aren't a 5 win team the last several years with better QB's. I think we would have won more games last year with Teddy tbh.

One thing I can say for certain though, we can't really get worse at QB. I mean, assuming they don't roll out a PS QB or a spring league guy or something....okay maybe there actually is worse than Darnold?

I am prepared for whatever. If you are an adult you should be as well. But I expect a much better performance this year and hopefully more wins. Schedule will be tough but there aren't many excuses.  I will be despondent and negative if we suck in October and November but for now am positive and looking forward to the season.

    • It's rare enough for a running back to tear the same ACL twice. There's not much of a sample size on the recoveries. And of course Dobbins has missed a lot of time--he was injured twice. That number will drop as his career continues, and even if it doesn't, that doesn't necessarily mean it has anything to do with the prior injuries. Dobbins just started and played well for a playoff team all year until he was injured by a hip-drop tackle. Surely his ACL recoveries didn't contribute to his completely random foot injury caused by an illegal tackle? Again, I'm confused why everyone is being so definitive that there's 'very little chance' of any meaningful contribution ever when the greatest counterpoint ever played for us. Thomas Davis tore the same knee over and over again and was basically fine. As for the roster-building stuff, we'll see what happens with Chuba and Dowdle at the end of the year, but Etienne's not going to factor into this. Either Brooks comes back, in which case we've already seen more from him than we have from Etienne, or he doesn't. But Etienne's not forcing him off the team. If anything, Etienne's current role is his absolute floor.
    • Then I would assume disingenuous. Why on earth would you consider this an "exciting" time to be a Panthers fan? Let me ask this, how old are you and how long have you been an NFL fan?
    • An ESPN writer had a good breakdown of teams that were likely to come back to earth(KC and Redskins were two of them) based on outlier results in 2024 in close games. I think that has a lot to do with it. Found it: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46003861/nfl-teams-likely-decline-lose-more-games-2025-season-predictions-vikings-chiefs-commanders-lions-colts
