Baker in the RZ

          TD          Int
2018 20 0
2019 15 3
2020 21 0
2021 12 0
Total 68 3

That gives me a warm, fuzzy.

If the new staff can add to that by not looking like the Keystone Kops when we get there and they have to get a play called, that would be even better.  Of course, maybe the old staff was so shocked to be in the RZ they just couldn't function.

I'm not sure what Baker was doing there? That looked intentional to me.

It was.

He shuffled his feet to get himself in a better position to make the throw so that he wasn't going across his body.

Noticed it when I first watched the clip...

I’m def not pulling for darnold but a TD is better than a FG in 2 min drill. Also baker took a delay of game in that series

Yeah, it's practice.  Baker is still learning the playbook and building chemistry with guys he has never thrown to before a few days ago.  It's so incredibly stupid that he isn't getting a majority of the reps with the 1's.

For comparison Darnold:

         TD-INT

2018 - 5-0

2019 - 8-1

2020 - 2-1

2021 - 6-1

Total - 21-3

Baker is over 3x more likely to get to the red zone and 3x less likely to throw a pick once he gets there.

I really don't understand the people that think Baker isn't a SIGNIFICANT upgrade over Darnold. It's not even that Baker is Elite, it's just that Sam is THAT BAD.

Baker is certainly uneven.
In 2018, his 20 RZ TDs would rank him 7th right after Brees.
In 2019  his 15 RZ TDs would rank him 15th right after Prescott.
In 2020 his 21 RZ TDs would rank him 8th right after Mahommes.
In 2021 his 12 RZ TDs would rank him 22nd right after Hurts (and the same as Heineke)

Seems to match his career to me. Had a good rookie year, had kitchens his second year. Had his best year in 2020 and was injured (and being ran out by his coach) in 2021.

NICE catch by TMJ. And Barnes (I think) was draped all over him!

This is going to be a small gripe, but that camera angle and what it showed was just atrocious. Way more interesting to see what's actually happening instead of Darnold's face, a ball somewhere in the air, and a receiver hitting the ground.

Maybe there will be more coming but the team is not doing themselves any favors with this content nonsense.

When Sam threw an int on first down,  the first play of the MN game, with plenty of time to throw, giving the ball to MN on our 22,  all hope was gone.  Sorry Sam.  I just can't watch you anymore.

Yeah, would have been that for me he had given up and sucked the rest of the way.

Instead, led us on a strong comeback attempt with one of the best throws I’ve ever seen deep in our own territory. Should have won that game had the defense not blown it in OT and memories would be a a lot different.

    • Well bois, we gave the Devils their due! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery... The jersey boys have been trying to jack our steeze for a few years now. They've followed our blueprints and studied our tape. Every offseason, they pounce on our sloppy seconds in a Newark minute. Quick with the puck, ferocious on the forecheck and stifling team defense. Down to the colors, this is this closest we'll come to having to play ourselves in Ole Stanley's Hockey Hoedown. As the postseason began, Rod stood flexing in the gym mirror and saw this guy staring back from the void... (Shutters) When beating us at our game didn't work, Timo and the Tri-State Trash tried to tango instead. Outside of a bitchass cheapshot on Freddie, that poo didn't work either. Their goon squad was getting wrecked by our bantam weights. As much as we all wanted to see Svechy or Staal Bunyan literally break someone in half after the Great Dane went down, they didnt need to. Our munchkins were monsters! Jarvis obliterating giants at the blue line, Logan laying the Stank on dudes twice his size and Blakers blasting Timo into next season. It was beautiful to see! (Side note: Does JBlo wear lead weights under his pads? 170lbs shouldn't be able to hit that hard!) We closed it out in 5, for the gentleman's sweep. Only team in the league to win a series in each of the past 7(?) seasons! And, this was supposed to be a rebuilding year... Onto the awards: Key To The Series : 6 for 19 - .316% IT FINALLY WORKED!!! MVP : 16/180 g/s - .911 save% - 2.53 gaa Seriously, without this dude, we would've won in 3! (Trust me bro) 3rd Star : 6/94 g/s - .936 save % - 1.59 gaa The Great Dane   2nd Star : 3 g - 5 a - +1 - 20:38 toi/g - 18 hits - 3 bs - 58.1% fo 3 PP goals and the 2OT series winning goal! WOOAAAHHH NELLY!!!!   And, your 1st Star of the series : 5 g - 1 a - +3 - 16:48 toi/g - 16 hits - 1 bs - 1 tk - 50% fo Zero, I repeat, zero penalty minutes for the series! MISSSTAAAHHH SVEEECHNIKOOOV!!!!!! Onto The Next: Now, we wait for the Habs to make it a nasty 7 game slog, while we recuperate. And, hopefully, get Nikishin, and some of the other black aces some real peactice time. We are gonna need those guys at some point. Because, if you think the Devils were dirty, hoooo boy, wait till you see what's next...
